Always and Forever. That was the promise made, and yet the Mikaelsons have gone their separate ways. Klaus is rumored to have remained in New Orleans, but he so rarely leaves The Abattoir that no one knows for certain. The city thrives under the heavy hand of Marcel Gerard, and all is humming along smoothly until the ground starts to rumble beneath St. Anne's church. Immortal Beloved is a casual panfandom group verse and discord server spanning The Vampire Diaries, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Teen Wolf, Supernatural (other like-fandoms welcome) and is vaguely set in the first two-ish seasons of The Originals. I've been off tumblr for a bit because, when I'm not at work, I'm helping to barn raise a couple of discord group verses and get them off the ground.

I'm stumbling in, because I'm casting group verses! And there's room in a BtVS/TO/TVD/TW/SPN crossover verse (The Originals-based and set in New Orleans in early seasons) for canons from all four shows, as well as select OCs (select, in that we're looking for ocs that fit the show, like werewolves, witches, vampires, slayers, etc.). There is a discord hub for rp, and there's some rp stuff on tumblr in the same verse, already. Friendly group! If you're interested, please drop me a message! Don't *like* this for interest sake, because I won't see it.

Bruce has sat at that table quietly for ten minutes, so engrossed in this giant book that he doesn't even notice the attractive woman with a note pad waiting for his attention. Oy vey, this supernatural lore is a headache but a fascinating headache. A lady at another table clears her throat to get his attention and Bruce doesn't jump. He doesn't. He makes a sound like his knee hit the bottom of the table but it's fine. He gives the woman waiting on him an awkward smile, "Heh, sorry about that. Good book."

                  Her hands smooth his shoulder blades, up over the back of broad shoulders but when he holds her near, she folds. Pulls him in for the sort of squeeze you might give a giant teddy bear — a giant teddy bear that could tear your ever-lovin’ head off. There’s no bad here. His confessions are daily. Roused by every touch, every kiss, and Faith’s shittier tendencies to pull away, to flinch or warp it all into some massive joke have been tempered by his easy affection. To love, and all of the fallout of that love… doesn’t hit like the unbridled terror it once did. He won’t hurt her, he won’t leave and Hulk won’t let him get his stupid ass killed. When she returns that lil cheek kiss, moves across to kiss his mouth, her eyes are fixed on his. Half-mast and dark, focused. She leaves him with a little bite, rests her palm against his jaw, “You know I love you. I mean, I’m gonna make ass fun of you, anyway.”

O look! Kissins.  He smiles into the kiss the whole time until she bites him and he goes green around the gills. God. What she does to him. He pretends to snarl at her but he can't shake the hint of smile so he's just not very menacing. His body relaxes at her touch. Bruce lets his face rest in the palm of her hand and green at his temples fades back to his natural color. His smile is sweet and adoring so it's more convincing than his snarl, "This is gonna happen. I know it. I know it, I can feel it. Ok? Alright?"

"Yanno, I can't ever tell if you're kidding. Gravity's a tricky subject, Faith. I don't even get it and I've been elbow-deep in the subject since high school. Don't sell yourself short. Even Einstein got some stuff wrong."

Thumbs the side of her nose like a boxer ready to put her fist through someone's face but she's not about to throw down, just give him the shittiest look money can buy, "Did this conversation go off without a hitch in your brain? Because gotta say... for a dude workin' on Ph.D. numero eight?" she doesn't mean it. Faith's lack of mental aptitude has been a raw subject her entire life --- he's being kind, she realizes. Faith gently rests the heel of her palm against her temple and sighs, "Sorry. Long day. I'm kinda jagged. So, gravity has pull, right? What am I missing, here?"

"I swear I know how to say the right thing." he grumbles to himself, "Why don't I ever say it?" Bruce ventures a reach for her hand and just hopes he won't get clobbered for it, "No, I'm sorry. I'm always in lecture mode. I don't think enough about how it might affect you." his hand squeezes hers as his thumb swishes her knuckles affectionately, "Are you sure you want a TED Talk on this? I mean, you're not wrong. But it's not that simple. Yes, mass has gravity and two masses will 'pull' on each other if their gravity is strong enough but 'pull'... eh. It's what we were taught in school but it's not really what's going on. See, an object's gravity warps the space... wait. Have you ever put a grapefruit on a waterbed?" wtf is he talking about?

           He can’t soothe this away but the very fact that he tries. She smirks against his neck and it takes it’s time breaking into a genuine smile, soft snort, “I’m down with that. What the hell, right? ‘Sides, the tryin’ part’s not too shabby.” Faith’s nails drag gentle circles across his back and shoulder blades. The way she’s content tucked into his body suggests she doesn’t mean to go anywhere anytime soon.

He gives a silent laugh at her joke before he closes his eyes and holds her right back. Bruce quietly hums with his chin on her shoulder. Tendrils of her hair tickle his cheek and he smiles without opening his eyes. Bliss. He could kick himself for saying no so many times. It almost cost him this. "I love you. Don't make fun, I gotta say it sometimes." He kisses her cheek then moves to look in her eyes, trying to comprehend how much his life has changed since he met her. This can't be the same life he tried to end all those years ago? "I love you." Maybe this is what Hulk saved his life for? Another chance.

Bruce Banner as portrayed by @phdinrage

character in general: Aw. I love Bruce so much. He was always a great character (Mark's incarnation, at least, not that I don't love Norton but holy cheese was he a bad fit for that role), but he's one of the characters who's gotten better and with time. I haven't seen She-Hulk yet, though, so don't quote me on that.

the mun: Jandon is one of my bestest, closest buddies and my most prolific ship partner. He's the one who convinced me that Faith and Sam Winchester had potential, and eventually turned out to be canonically perfect for each other. He's also a canon nut like I am, and that makes our rp universes so much better.

follow them: I will always follow. Any blog, any time. <3

rp with them: While it's 99.9% discord, I write with Jan probably more than I write with anyone else. We always have a ton of threads going in discord group verses or my private server.

want to rp with them: Yes, always!

ship their character with mine: Only across all our blogs, all the time lol. I realize that the ageism in the rpc means that people don't get what Faith sees in Bruce, but for a guy who's famously 'always angry', he's also gentle and kind. If you had any idea how long Faith's waited for someone to be kind to her. He doesn't judge her (maybe given that he's been more destructive in his life than she could ever hope to be), he's eternally her biggest cheerleader. He's sweet and dopey sometimes, and says corny things, and also is insanely dangerous which frankly is kind of a thing for her. Plus, he's stupid smart and Faith's sapiosexuality gets her into a lot of trouble, sometimes.

overall opinion: Awww, Jan. I love you with my whole heart, even if you are a weird lil kitty sometimes.

                         —- If he’s offering lap, she’s gonna fucking take it. It’s nothing to let him pull her in, wrap her legs around his hips. He’s so good at this part. The softness, the comfort. You wouldn’t think he would be, given everything he’s been through but in so many ways the man he’s become is exactly what she needs. No hard candy coating, no armor needed. Just him. Letting her worry when she needs to without hitting her for being weak. Letting her be soft when it feels right. It feels right now, and she takes advantage of his embrace by fully relaxing against his chest, tucking her face into his collar to breathe him in, “Yeah. Know you’re right. Just worried, that’s all. I want this, ya know? Want it with you. Now I’m kinda thinkin’, hey. Maybe set them expectations lower? Something goes wrong and I’m gonna hit the pavement hard.”

"No. Hey." Bruce can feel tension in her body. “No one’s hitting the pavement.” His arms could wrap around her twice if his own dumb body wasn't in the way. "I never want you to aim low. If it doesn't happen this time we just gotta keep trying." He kisses her shoulder and murmurs, "It's gonna be good. You'll see. Besides... between Loki and Hulk you already have all that momma bear experience."

                    She shoots him a lil smile over her shoulder as she bends to grab both waters and a towel, “I’m good. Frickin’ joy over here, but don’t quote me. Don’t wanna jinx it.” which, there’s no ‘it’ yet. They don’t even know it’s a thing and won’t until Cho has Faith’s test results back because effing false positives. There’s a cool bite riding on the back of a warm breeze, hard not to enjoy it. And a day when no one’s trying to kill them —- although, that can also be fun. Faith pads back to Bruce in her bare feet and holds his water out to him, “This is gonna happen, right? Like, even if it doesn’t happen right now.”

As Faith bends over Bruce bites his fist and looks away to avoid his animal nature turning him very green. He's just never gonna walk again. His heartrate! Bruce is also now more fully aware that managing Hulk all those years suppressed his inner lecherous impulses. This is why he needs meditation! He takes the water from her and reaches out to invite her back into his arms, "Hey. It's gonna happen. OK? If problems come up we'll deal with 'em together. We're already halfway there, right? Come here."
