Here, you can submit any and all hot takes you have about Phighting, and by that, we mean ALL HOT TAKES you have about Phighting! We don’t discriminate! Tell us how much you think that one guy is a boring and awful character! Inform strangers on the internet how mid you think this one skin is! And you can do it all behind the mask of anonymity, or with your own online face if you’re feeling so bold as to do so!!!

We do, of course, have a few rules.

🔥 HOT TAKE SUBMISSION RULES 🔥

Any and all hot takes you submit to us must be about PHIGHTING. So long as it involves Phighting in a relevant enough way, it will be accepted.

Must be a hot take, (or a take in general), not just you rambling about how hot you think your favorite Phighter is or something. That means no confessions. Gotta emphasize this one because y’all keep sending confessions and not hot takes.

No spamming a hot take in hopes that we see it sooner, we’ll get to you when we get to you.

You can’t slip your headcanons into hot takes. You think a character should go by they/them? Cool. Submit it as a headcanon, but please don’t use it in a hot take. (Having a hot take ABOUT a headcanon doesn’t violate this rule).

You can make a hot take about a hot take, but please don’t go after people or be disrespectful when doing so, unless the person in question is horrendous enough to be called out for their actions.

No copypastas. If you suspect a hot take is a copypasta, please tell me and share the original copypasta so I can confirm that it is, in fact, a copypasta.

No ai-related submissions. That includes C.ai.

NO TWITTER DRAMA. PLEASE. I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Adding on to rule 8, no drama in general please. Unless it’s related to a specific hot take on the blog, (i.e. someone makes a horrendous hot take that deserves to be called out).

there are plenty of good reasons for not going into pro servers but "pRoS aRe AlWaYs EmPtY!" is not one of them. that's a dumb excuse.

no they aren't, there's always at least one server that has 7 players or more.

and like you might say "7 players is too empty i need a full server!" but like. oh boohoo the server isn't full how horrible and sad. bitch you might as well just say "wah wah i'm a horrible sport who refuses to ever sit out when the teams are uneven because i'm an inconsiderate asshole"

people who say this are also PART OF THE FUCKING PROBLEM. THE REASON WHY THEY'RE EMPTY IS BECAUSE YOU REFUSE TO GO IN THEM.

i know a discord server that does pro server pings whenever they want to hop on pros and it usually works pretty well

The only map that does something even remotely different to conquer is Teapots. Other than that it's literally the exact same thing of long run to point, point is absolutely empty, and free spot for the Hyperlaser to go unbothered. And teapots has the same set up but instead the point actually moves for once.

whhhy do matches need to be like organized and we're screaming at people for playing this character because we're doing bad specifically because of them??

The entire point of a game is to have fun, not to win every single match. Me personally I play phighting to have fun playing a character I enjoy playing (shuriken) but if my entire team is screaming at me because I'm appearantly being useless despite being the only one ON THE POINT yelling at me to switch to ban hammer or something which I'm just going to be extremely miserable playing and DON'T want to play at all??

Idk dude I think there should be organized matches of which are organized with people who are willing to switch and know how to play multiple characters

I'm not going to switch into a character that I am miserable and bad at playing just for the sake of a singular win.

Skate still needs to get nerfed btw. They're doing an awful lot to characters who don't exactly need the change though you can see why, but Skate and Coil genuinely need to be top priority rn.

speaking as a melee main,

ranged mains are pretty freaking talented. like yes they ragebait and flick at you but you gotta admit they’re really good at this game

like people always give hyper (or hyper players) shit for sniping or giving sling shit for being out of reach or giving shuri shit for escaping on 2 hp

these players have to aim at a specific hitbox with their own attack’s hitbox and for example many shuri players jump repeatedly while aiming and still get 20+ kills like holy shit?? how?? and yes ik mod exor you hate hyper but PLEASE give players the credit they deserve for their skill :)

I've played some Hyperlaser and honestly that nerf did not change jack about Hyperlaser, I feel like the general fanbase was overreacting to hell and back lmfao.

All it did was make the game less staggered because now the entire enemy team isn't going to hide after you get the first shot off. I do like that the music lowers down when Hyperlaser shoots, especially while playing him it gives a certain feeling of "holy shit look out".

I'm so scared to play the game. I'm only lvl 4 or smth and even in beginner servers I still feel like I'm so bad and I'm letting my team down and I just end up leaving and hoping my team gets a better player to replace me I can't do this anymore :(

Can we talk about how almost every Hyperlaser ends up fucking their team over because they feel that they are entitled to never touch point? It's really not that hard to at least step on point when it's overtime but nooooo.

Nearly all of the maps are the same and get old quickly. This is why I almost always choose annihilation over conquer because damn at least I have some variety with how the map is structured even if 80% of the time the maps still sucks and are exactly like the others. But at least we can move around instead of being forced in one spot.

Even the gimmicks are boring because it's not like they alter the game drastically in any way. Like ok, Bread factory's compressor? Uh, yeah, it gives you the most obvious hint ever it's going to go down, and you don't even need to step off the actual point because you're able to either hug the outside or just go on the edge of where the compressor is supposed to drop because for some reason that doesn't kill you. And Darkage's fire. ??? This literally does jackshit other than hurt a skateboard a tiny bit. Keyword tiny bit.

And escort would be better ...

If there weren't just two maps that get chosen -283828% of the time and the escort gamemode itself didn't suck ass.

you're genuinely stupid if you think subspace is a victim because of the conflict that happened with medkit.

NO subspace is NOT a victim, what medkit did was self defense, that does not make subspace, the aggressor, the guy that tried to kill medkit, a victim. THAT'S THE CONSEQUENCES OF HIS ACTIONS!!!!!
