Good sibcest strories are hard to find, so I thought I'd share my findings.

Why fictional sibcest? Because it combines my two favourite tropes: childhood friends-to-lovers and forbidden love.

What I look for in a story: siblings who behave like siblings and actually love each other beyond physical attraction, a decent plot, a somewhat happy ending. That said, I also love angst and unhealthy codependancy and such.

What I don’t want: rapey brothers or other kinds of abuse, stories all about sex without a deeper connection between the characters

📝 Current writing projects:

Niko & Sarah: Inspired by The Bear and The Pitt, Sarah is an ER resident, her brother Niko, a chef at a Michelin-star restaurant. Both have bad coping mechanisms and deal with their trauma and burnout by having sex. Light Dom/sub, heavy angst.

Summary:

This piece was written for SpringCest 2026 event by @macrocest. I chose the Blue horror Bingo Card, Middle Row: It’s all in your head | Haunted by their victims | Holy water.

This piece is heavily inspired by the music video and song – “Under the Graveyard” by Ozzy Osbourne. I was deeply moved by it when I first saw it because it had a ‘good girl/evil guy’ vibe and showed unconditional love, which is what I’m into. I always wanted to write a scene that followed the structure of that music video but adapted to an event that may happen in my story.

King who has an assortment of bastard kids he puts into positions of knights and maids in waiting. It's one of those secrets no one is sure is legit or not

The king using the confusion to fuck his sons and daughters, spreading his seed and blood while keeping it within the family

Him not saying anything when he sees the princess being gang banged by all the knights, every single one of them spilling in her not knowing those are her brothers.

In Slavic Mythology, Kupalo and Kostroma were twins, children of the gods Simargl and Kopalnica. One day, they went to the river, despite their mother’s warning, to listen songs of the mythological bird Sirin. However, the Sirin’s voice was enchanted with a spell that made people forget everything and then it took Kostroma away. She and Kupalo were separated for many years until they met again, when the girl was walking by the river with a flower crown in her hair. Wind threw her flower crown into the water and it was then caught by Kupalo, passing by on his boat. He gave it back to Kostroma and, as a tradition, that gesture meant that he was now to marry her. They fell in love without remembering each other and got married, but the gods, angered by their decision, told them the truth and because of the shame they killed themselves. Kostroma drowned herself in the river, becoming a forest mermaid and Kupalo threw himself into the fire. But the gods, seeing what their anger had done, brought them back to life, not as people but as a flower that is now called Ivan-da-Maria. In this tale it’s also mentioned that they both were made gods: Kupalo became the god of the summer sun and Kostroma, the goddess of fertility.

Any ideas?

one sibling gets turned into a siren and turns their sibling in desperation to not be alone

Oh, I like the siren idea 🤔 I’m thinking sister is turned into siren, her sailor brother attempts to save, but gets enthralled in the process, and it’s a sex pollen sort of situation where neither of them can resist the attraction… or something

FYI I’m actively working on the next/last chapters of Niko & Sarah’s story, I want to give them (and you guys) a satisfying ending so there’s a lot to wrap up.
