It’s been a busy 2 days,from Palo Duro Canyon, to Cadillac Ranch doing some taggin, to following the ol’ Route 66, and to visiting the Grand Canyon! God’s creation is a wonder and it is so beautiful! Yesterday we had the privilege of attending a United States Air Force Coin Ceremony for Airman graduating from Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, which is known as Military City USA. We went to support an Airman named Frankie who came here for training all the way from the Philippines. He is engaged to one of Divina’s cousins there and he grew up in the Philippines, so it was a special honor to get to be at this event, take him out to lunch for some good Filipino food, and get to see an awesome Air Force Base. A cool part about Frankie is he wants to go into ministry and be a chaplain in the Military. So at lunch we talked about Ministry and he asked for some advice about getting married and being a Father. We gave him what we could and prayed for him. Another cool thing is Monday he leaves for Tech Training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, where I grew up. The videos show the new graduates recite the Airman’s Creed, and also the importance of serving under the American Flag. It gave me great pride to hear the Values of the Air Force, “Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence In All We Do.” All of what I saw and heard made me proud and thankful to be an American. To know we live in a place that encourages its serviceman to live with Integrity, serve others before self, and do everything in excellence. The first video shows how important our American Flag is, what its been used for, where its been flown, and how invincible it is. I pray everyone has a great and safe 4th of July! Today is the last day of Bella’s Junior year, Everette’s 6th grade year, Eva’s last day of 5th grade and elementary, and Dallas’s 1st grade year. It’s also my last day of school being back in the school system all year since amazing Life School in Dallas. 📚 When did all 3 of these older kids almost become the same height? They’ve grown physically, educationally, and spiritually. Family first is so important to us and we are so proud of these 4 kiddos.
