You know, when my Richonne-loving @ss sees a Lori glaze post, it always causes funny stuff and thangs to happen to my face. Never been more grateful for the, "not interested in this post" option. Can't ever get behind a person like her, man or woman. I just can't justify her toxic, selfish, and irresponsible behaviors and how they affected Rick, Carl, and the group as a whole. And I was glad Rick eventually realized he couldn't either. Because, contrary to what the ultra-feminists think, RICK IS ALLOWED TO FEEL WHAT HE FEELS ABOUT IT. He's not a bad husband or a weak man for feeling hurt or angry at how two of the most important people in his life threw him away as soon as he was gone. He wasn't even gone a month before they screwed. And as that "unintentional" adultery belly became more and more noticable, I understood Rick not wanting much to do with her. Would you?

Honestly, my issue isn't about her sleeping with someone else, even if it was a blink and two footsteps after finding out her husband (and the father of her son) was "dead." And I know their marriage was headed for the trash before everything went down. The biggest issue I have with her is about WHO SHE CHOSE to lay down with. Her husband's best friend (and damned near brother) is just vile, imo. Y'all know it would hurt you too, so stop lying.

"I just needed to feel something." OK? 😒 Flesh-eating monsters running around in a collapsed world, and THAT'S what you were thinking about?? 😑

And then, you get PREGNANT on top of that?! 🤦🏾‍♀️

And when you're a fan of a show whose white fanbase always has excuse after excuse for EVERY SINGLE ONE of Lori's toxic behaviors, who sympathizes with her adultery (intentional or not) and ignores her terrible treatment of Rick, labels anyone who disagrees as misogynistic or an incel, but then turns around and tries to minimize Rick and Michonne's relationship AND their son, cancel Michonne as a mother for leaving to find the missing piece of her family (with Judith's insistence, might I add), and act like Rick wouldn't tear the world apart for them (or that he would EVER leave his family to go over the ocean to find Daryl), I immediately want such a ridiculous post to disappear from my sight and memory entirely. Don't even get me started on the copious amounts of whataboutisms that start raining down about Shane. 🙄 YES, he also betrayed Rick. He's not innocent. I get that. But it takes TWO. And I'm not talking about Shane right now. I'm talking about the one who was supposed to be Rick's life partner, his wife. The one whose promises were supposed to mean something. Who, at the very least, wouldn't have moved on AS FAST as she did, and certainly not with WHOM she did, if she had truly loved her husband. Homegirl didn't even mourn him!

At the end of the day, Michonne tops Lori as a wife, mother, and warrior all day, every day. PERIOD. Richonne FOREVER.

"I just love Lori so much!" 🥴 Yeah, yeah. Good for you. Glad you've got someone you can relate to. I hope your man knows. 😑

Meanwhile, we got Queen Michonne. A TRUE ride or die. She and King Rick deserved their happy ending. AND THEY GOT IT. No amount of whining or bigoted insults will change that.

If you're someone who wants to be able to find (or avoid) ships while reading on AO3, odds are good that a fan coder out there has created a user script that could help you out.

User scripts are similar to extensions. You add them to your browser to automatically adjust web pages for you. User scripts allow you the opportunity to personalize them, however, which is wonderful for things like AO3 filters.

Here are a few that might be worth a look:

AO3 multishipper saviour - if you want to read about a particular character in a relationship without specifying any other person. The relationships can be specified to be romantic or platonic or both.

AO3: Reorder Ship Tags - Automatically reorders relationship tags on work blurbs so romantic ships (/) always appear before platonic ships (&).

AO3 Relationship/Character Highlighter - highlights the ship/character you’re looking for if they appear in the first two relationship/character tags.

AO3 romantic relationship savior - hides all romantic relationships in sort & filter page that has "/"

AO3 First Relationship Tag Filter - toggle on the script if you're browsing a relationship tag and all the works that don't have that tag as their first tag will be hidden. Works on both romantic (/) and platonic (&) relationships.

AO3 relationship savior - hides works that have too many relationships in them.

AO3 Only Show Primary Pairing - will hide fics that don't have the designated pairing listed first in the tags.

AO3 Only Show Primary Pairing (Auto) - The difference between this and Neeve's script is that it automatically detects the primary pairing, little to no configuration needed.

AO3 Show every pairing except THAT one - Remove relationship tags from script which you do not want to read.

If you want to save your filters, there are two ways to go about it.

If you do the same search/filter every time, just bookmark the results page with your browser. The URL contains all of your filters, so every time to visit that URL, you'll get the pre-filtered, updated results.

If you use the same filters on different searches (e.g. always filter out Character Death in every fandom), then you can use a bookmarklet to run your filters for you. Instructions on how to set it up can be found here.

Ok, any Richonne writers that follow my random meanderings… we NEED, yes, NEED a fic where Pregnant!Lori encounters Rick and Michonne going at it like rabbits at the prison. Yes, I am that petty (and have voyeuristic tendencies). I am on summer break so I am choosing to indulge in my musings. There’s a great scene in the Netflix film Loving Adults with the incredibly handsome and talented Dar Salim and Sus Wilkins that sparked this idea. If you’ve scene the film then you’ll recognize the reference. It’s a great film with lots of tension, angst and twisty end. If you’re a fan of Dar or Nordic Noir, it’s right up your alley!

2. The Dusk of My Memory: Set in the ASZ after the Wolves attack; Rick suffers from amnesia due to an injury. Will he remember anything of his life before? Will he recall what certain people mean to him?

3. Worth the Wait: A mixture of a prompt/confession about Michonne and Rick going on a double date with Andrea and Shane. I mixed it up a little to include what would happen if Richonne didn’t really like each other at first. AU no zombies.

4. Song for the Life: Richonne tale based on lyrics of songs. Hurt/comfort; angst.

5. Fragments: Series of Richonne drabbles and ficlets based on prompts. Mainly one-shots. Fluff and Smut.

6. Fifteen Years Ago: Rick recalling his relationship with Michonne. AU; no zombies. COMPLETED. 

7. A Home: Rick and Michonne had a chance to be happy together and build a home, but is it too late now? ASZ. Angst. COMPLETED.

8. There’s Something Wrong with All of Us: Comic Book Richonne. Ezekiel has just died and Michonne is at a very low point. Hurt/comfort; angst. Smut.

9. Rough: One-shot ficlets based on the prompt ‘Rough’. Smut. 

10. Comic Book Club: AU, silly, fluffy fun. Jealous Rick. COMPLETED.
