Rachel: Yale, that's prestigious! I must be super silly with my little diploma from a beauty school compared to that.

Quinn: Yes. She went home with her new mother as soon as she was born. Her mom is very lovely.

Quinn: No worries. I just have a good memory or something.

Quinn: It is. Prestigious, I mean. And expensive. But beautiful. I miss it, most days.

Quinn: You don't seem silly. Just because we went down different paths doesn't mean they need to be compared.

Rachel: She is! And tomorrow she'll be a real adult! I can't imagine how I'd react if I had a child and saw it grow before my eyes.

Rachel: But you said you knew I was from New York... And I haven't done much besides follow my fathers everywhere and sing when I got older.

Rachel: It seems so... Rich. And high class! A bit like Manhattan. I wouldn't be too lost.

Quinn: It's gotten a lot easier. I see her enough, so thankfully I'm not wondering what on earth I'm missing. Her mom is really great.

Quinn: Her adopted mom, I mean. Her mom.

Quinn: This is going to sound like I've been stalking you for years, but I ran into once. In New York. A long time ago.

Quinn: It's quite rich, at least in certain parts. High class, too. But that's what my parents are. Surprisingly though, I was one of the only people I knew who lived there and also went to Yale.

Rachel: My apologies. I always get excited, too excited in facts! Wait, you did? You went to one of my shows?

Rachel: New Haven, I never actually thought of going there! It sounds so far away yet it's super close!

Quinn: Yes. It makes me feel old. And emotional. It's absolutely insane. She's like a little adult.

Quinn: I haven't been to any of your shows, no. Although perhaps If I knew you, I'm sure I would've.

Quinn: It's beautiful. Interesting place to grow up, though.

Rachel: I probably told you when we first met, I almost get annoying about it.

Rachel: It's the most beautiful city ever! Well, between the two towns I've been to.

Quinn: It’s just a lot to talk about. She’s almost 13. It’s gotten easier, anyways.

Quinn: You did tell me. I believe it was the first thing that came out of your mouth after hello. But I actually knew that before.

Quinn: It’s very beautiful. Sometimes it felt like a little too much for me. But then again, I was always used to New Haven.

Rachel: Sweetie, if I were to ask questions every time I hear a confession, I'd be in an eternal questioning. And besides, this is not a topic to discuss about over text messages. I'm very happy you felt comfortable enough to tell me about it, though!

Rachel: It sure is a distraction, but a good one? Let me doubt that.

Rachel: That's always a good conversation starter! I usually tell them anecdotes from when I lived in NYC, bumping into walls, missing the Subway five times a row... You know, the kind of stories that make everyone feel better about themselves.

Quinn: You're probably correct. It's a lot to discuss and something I'm not too fond of discussing sometimes.

Quinn: You're welcome. Just kind of came out, mostly.

Quinn: Oh yeah, you lived in New York. I knew that, actually.

Quinn: I've been there a few times. My dad used to go on business there a lot when I was a kid. I always wanted to go.

Rachel: If they don't accept you, they're in the wrong field. And it's sad that they have left a bitter taste to their clients due to obvious incompetency.

Rachel: It happens to everybody! I try to sit down and talk before I ask them to get on the table. But really, it goes so quick that most clients tell me that it wasn't so bad. I'm not trying to pressure you into doing it, I'm just trying to prove my point that we are supposed to be professionals, a little bit like doctors!

Rachel: I don't force them to listen through a comedy monologue of mine while I'm applying the hot wax! I'd ban myself from my profession!

Quinn: I just told you that I technically have a child, and you're still thinking about the beauticians? I suppose I should be thankful. If our roles were reversed my head would be exploding with questions.

Quinn: I know you're not, no worries.

Quinn: It might be a good distraction. What exactly do you talk about while you're applying hot wax to peoples naked bodies? The weather?

Rachel: I'm still very sorry about what happened!

Rachel: You'd be surprised! There is no such thing, we just get to it and that's it.

Rachel: It's awkward at first, but it's not that awful. I try to make my clients laugh to clear the air!

Quinn: It's fine. Really don't think they were expecting a 16 year old pregnant girl to get a wax. I just wanted to give my doctors and nurses a better view.

Quinn: Our vaginas are such personal areas. Terribly so. Getting to it and that's it seems a little hard. At least for me.

Quinn: I hope you don't make them laugh a lot. Something tells me moving whilst getting waxed cannot be a good idea.

Just throw an amazing party, wear amazing dresses, but don’t promise things you can’t even keep for a month. Back in the day, even fifty years ago, I could see the use, but right now? Absolutely not. They do, but what tells us they’re still in love? I can fake a smile for a picture just to have people’s attention and pretend to be a role model.

I do things. I just hang out with a lot of people. The more I do it, the more my dreams are shattered. But y’know, it ain’t that bad.

Not really a party girl, personally. Not anymore, at least.

Do things? Hang out with a lot of people? I do those things, too. What are you hiding? Maybe don’t do things that shatter your dreams. Just a pro-tip.

I actually saw a bit of it, sometimes I work the 6 o’clock news segments and I get a glimpse of it all. However, I wasn’t expecting your question to lead into that, oh gosh that’s horrible. What did you do?

I did the pictures with the wedding party earlier in the day, so it was just me and the happy couple. Considering I was the only other person..I got an armful of bawling bride and snot all over my camera. Which they really don’t tell you about when you decide to take pictures.

Thankfully, I did still get paid.

Without a doubt it was the most amazing sight I’ve seen in a very long time. Although I am finding it hard to not take offence to that last little comment of yours. Not all men are like that sleazebag. Some of us do still believe in true love and happily ever after. Just give it time, Blondie. Someone will end up surprising you.

Glad somebody got to enjoy it in it’s full beauty. I don’t hate love. Just don’t believe we need marriage to ensure that. Just like I don’t think all men are sleazy. The men in mine life, yes--but the world’s pretty big. Another blondie, huh? Here I was thinking you’d say something original.

Quinn: Oh, I'm sure it is. But there's got to be some sort of rule that prevents you from staring into the private parts of people that you know. Even if it's not too well.

Rachel: You are not the only one! I would be more concerned about someone who doesn't feel any pain at all. Am I really talking about wax? Oy vey.

Rachel: Oh, gyms... I have never been there and I would need a lot to convince me to step in there and watch strangers lift and flex like a narcissistic...

Rachel: My love for food will always be bigger than my desire to get in shape!

Quinn: I got waxed once when I was 17. I still regret it. I couldn't walk for days and it was already an uncomfortable time in my life.

Quinn: We're not all narcissists. It's more of a stress relief for me. I definitely don't lift and flex. Often, at least.

Quinn: That's very noble of you.

Quinn: Oh, I'm sure it is. Every time I think of hot wax in general being put on my body, anywhere--I flinch. Some places make me flinch harder than others.

Quinn: I can agree, definitely. The food's a bit much, though. I'll have to spend much more time at the gym. And It's hardly even December.
