Happy Monday guys! So I have some exciting news, I’ve decided to open up an @threadless artist store 🎉 sometimes I have ridiculous ideas that just need somewhere to go. Until I release them to the world they stay inside my head just knocking about screaming to come out. Threadless print the design on demand and they also post them, which means I can just do a design and let them worry about everything else 🍻I don’t have a lot of time to commit to personal stuff and each design can take a very long time to complete, so I hope you enjoy the design each time I release one! Hopefully I can get into a habit and release them frequently but I won’t promise anything yet! Anyway enough of the talk, here is a sneak peak of the design that I will be releasing tomorrow. This piece of artwork was passed around like a bag of chips before it found its place. I created it originally for a beer coaster, then it got used for a beer cooler and then pieces of it have been used in T-shirt graphics. Yo happy Monday ya pests! I hope you had a good weekend 🍻I worked the absolute shit out of the weekend and probably had the most focused couple days session working on some freelance ever. I’ve got a little tip which probably is just common sense for most of you haha, but just fuck your mobile phone right off. I started my day at 6:45am on the weekend and just threw my mobile phone into the main bedroom without even looking. I didn’t want it to be easily accessible and I’m totally amazed at how much I got done haha. Anyway I’ll talk about this design now. Something abit different, I did the boat by pen tool and I airbrushed the rest in photoshop. It was my birthday yesterday 🍺 I turned 31 🧓🏻 I got absolutely spoiled like crazy by my girlfriend @batchelorette_ I seriously don’t know what I do to deserve her! Snakes and Anchors! Did this cool little detail for @themadhueys . Not overly illustrated but sometimes it’s the merging of design and illustration that can make a great design! One thing that’s taken me a long time to work on is creating good compositions that go with an illustration. When I began graphic design I was 100% art and illustration with no chill. I pretty much just wanted to draw all day and then throw a tiny logo somewhere on the design.
