forgot one from the antique mall post
Another favorite pastime of ours in Antique shopping. I think we’ve been to maybe...four or five antique malls out here. The most recent one is also in Whittier literally right across the street from Oceanic Arts. It’s called King Arthur Antique Mall. Guys....this place is no joke. There has to be maybe four floors of vintage clothing, household items, furniture, music, everything. We got separated at one point and then had to make sure and stick together in this insane labyrinth of goods. It’s incredible really. I was dead tired by the time we got finished looking at everything, they have vending machines too, but no water. Next time I’m bringing water and other survival goods. Stuff is pretty reasonably priced too.
Back in full force!
So we’ve been into the tiki culture lately, and there is a spot out in Whittier, CA that pretty much exists all year round to serve your tiki needs. (Oceanic Arts) We’ve been there a few times, sometimes we get lucky and make purchases and sometimes not. I think some of their suppliers also attend the tiki markets we go to. Anyways. here are some shots I got today.
I kicked off my first photo with a pattern. If you’ve seen my page then you know how much I love patterns guys. The two guys hiding out totes kill me though.
I am so fortunate to have such a generous and loving partner. On a whim The Boy opted to treat me to a day out during our holiday. Seriously. Everyday I’m thankful.
As far as the aquarium is concerned, this is the only time in my life that I’ll say that Jersey does it better.
Day trip to Palm Springs. I swear it’s like a mid-century modern gay paradise.
Weller court
If you’ve never been to El Pueblo its full of sounds, foods, and life. While I do enjoy the fact that Los Angeles is so rich in Mexican culture, I really miss the tastes of the Caribbean from the east coast.
After quite the long hiatus without a well functioning camera. Finally I’m back!!!! testing out the Lumix GH2 in Chinatown
In wine country and all I do is whine about the cold.
Greek Mythology/Roman Empire on tumblr
I couldn’t read that last one and not see this face
“toO LaTE!”
Oh my god. I love this.
Always a fan of mythology
I'm jk lol I'm moving to LA soon and I saw your post on California problems.
You'll like LA. It's an amazing place to live. I'd never go back.
Bucket list item
Wino for the day. Though I may have someone that I really love, sometimes when you see someone else in love you think man...I just want to look at someone like that right now. Then again maybe love is just laying in bed with your partner watching a highly under appreciated TV show as you both crack reddit jokes.
Having a bit of fun with the boy
So this place was really chill. Along Topanga Canyon there is a legit thrift store that has fairly priced vintage clothing. Like....wonderfully vintage with themed rooms and the likes. I even bought something there. We spent a good amount of time there before heading off to the shitshow that was the Malibu Winery. I would highly recommend.
Just another Hollywood sign
