Well... it depends on what you mean by "work"
The purpose of a lock is to secure your belongings, and there's a trade off inherent to security- more secure=less accessible. The absolute most secure thing would be to seal your belongings in a solid block of steel-reinforced concrete, but it wouldn't be very accessible. The opposite, the most accessible thing, would of course be no lock, and not even a container.
The strict purpose of a lock is to make it harder for someone to just come and take your shit. Not make it impossible, just harder. Because a lot of thieves are going for the easy score, that can be done quickly. Delay them, make them decide it's not worth the effort, move on.
All of these locks will deter someone who is just walking by, jiggling locks to see what's not actually secured. But they won't hold up to the person who is prepared to do even just a little more. Master locks can famously be defeated by simply hitting them hard enough, so even jiggling with a rake as seen in the video is more work than is needed. The video is a demonstration that these locks don't do the basic job of "delay a would-be-thief long enough that they risk being caught/make the effort high enough that they draw attention to themselves."
And having seen enough lockpicking lawyer and covert instruments videos, I would say that, generally speaking, while some locks are better than others, a lot of the locks on the market these days are just mass produced, cheap security theater that will only keep out the most casual would-be-thieves.
In the theme of "a lock's purpose is to deter/delay/dissuade," I would say that locks that use circular keys are better than those with standard keys (they are slightly harder to pick), and multiple locks, of multiple types, is better than a single lock. But honestly, you might actually be best served, at least in the short term, by a stout bolt that takes a very specific shape of screwdriver. A lock can be smacked open, raked, or shimmed (fitting a rigid piece of metal or plastic into the lock to trip the shackle), but a large bolt must be unscrewed or cut, and you can tighten them enough that a person needs wrenches to undo them, which a casual thief is unlikely to be walking around with.
