âFuck.â

In which a chance meeting occurs and Remus is punched for giving tourist recommendationsÂ
He took in a lungful of breath, enjoying the brisk, crisp scent of a bright spring afternoon as the two of them made their way down the pavement. Although the graceful arm that looped around his elbow surprised him, Remus took it in stride and continued down the street with her. The boy went from calm to flustered to sheepish all in the span of ten seconds at her words, and he managed to shoot her a half-hearted glare that looked awfully a lot like amused exasperation. âGood Godric, Valeria,â he said. âAnyway â books, yes, but some parchment and ink and quills, lunch, a jacket, three hundred receipts and scraps at the bottom, probablyâŚâ
At his glare he simply smiled innocently, raising her eyebrows as if to ask âwhat?â as she let out a soft laugh. âI always thought ink and quills was horrible to carry inside backpacks, maybe thatâs just me being clumsy enough to not have closed several ink pots well enough and having them spill all over,â She said with a sheepish smile. âI prefer pens, do you know what those are?â
misslilyevans:
When Valeria sat next to her, she drooped her head a bit and laughed, âI just am slightly concerned because the last time a large group of people was out, we nearly got blown to smithereensâŚremember?â
âI guess thatâs a good reason,â She said with a laugh. âIt wasnât all bad though, I did meet a very attractive man that day,â She said as if that made the whole attack worth it.
edwarddtonks:
âWell, I hope you enjoy your stay here. Even if it isnât the nicest of times to visit, unfortunately.â He said with a sad smile. A war wasnât exactly the nicest of things to walk into.
âSo Iâve heard, Iâm sorry about the whole... Deatheater thing,â She said with an apologetic smile. âItâs been a while, right? Since the attacks began here?â
chaoticxgoddess:
âIâm alright. Bertramâs back, the guy I told you about. So thatâs been⌠interesting. Weâre taking it slow.â She said, before following suit and downing her drink. âYou?â

âHuh,â She said before she snorted out a laugh, âSlow? I didnât know you did slow,â She said with a smirk as  she asked about her. âIâm... alright... I met an interesting man, well a few actually, this place is proving very very nice.â

Emmeline chuckled lightly âI wonât tell anyone, I promise.â She said teasingly.

Alastor chuckled, âWhat can I say? I guess I just couldnât resist myself in such beautiful company.â He looked down to her, giving a small smirk, âMy pleasure.â He said before releasing her and firing a curse over her shoulder at the Death Eater.
âHitting on a woman in the middle of battle...â She said as she tilted her head, âVery attractive,â She said as she looked at him as he fired the spell, at the Deatheater, soon after blocking another spell coming her way and sending a jinx back to send the man flying a few feet. âSo... Iâm guessing youâre an Auror then?â
âAbsolutely not.â
âIs this no to the costume party or no to me suggesting you go as Little Red and I go as your big bad wolf? Because trust me, I have no quarrel with being a werewolf,â She said as she sat next to Lily.Â
auroramoody:
âYes, well, you definitely chose an interesting time to pay a visit to London.â Alastor shook his head, âI would say itâs not normally like this, but even when it isnât this bad, there is always some trouble going on.â Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a curse flying their way and he instinctively pulled her close to him as he shot a protective shield around them.
âYeah tell me about i-â She began before she was pulled up against him and a spell flew past her. âUsually I let a guy take me out on a date first, you know,â She joked as she was now pressed up against him, looking up at him, âThanks.â
lucinda-talkalot-9:
As Lucinda listened to her, she realized she probably could have paid a lot more attention during Magical Creatures class. She had only taken a few years of it, knowing she wasnât going to be using it later in life in her career path, but it did seem rather interesting. âSo, Iâm assuming your job has something to do with creatures?â She pondered how fascinating of a life that would be. âWhere are you from?â
âYeah, I usually go after poachers, but Iâm just sort of... settling a bit, seeing how this... place is, have some people to meet,â She said with a small nod, âAmerica, New York City, though I donât have the usual accent,â She said scrunching her nose, âI hope not anyways, Iâd hate to sound like the Godfather.â
alexander-mckinnon:
âWell great.â He smiled, pushing the paperwork that sat in front of him away. âSo, why are you here, in England, that is?â He inquired.Â
âI work with Magical Creatures, usually preventing their poaching, but I thought Iâd come here to study thestrals and so on, just for a bit,â She said with a small shrug, âYouâre an Auror I assume, since thatâs where we are, right?â
edwarddtonks:
âNot much. I just shut up shop for the day so thought Iâd pop in for a drink before heading home.â Ted smiled. âYou donât sound like youâre from around here. Visiting are you?â
âAh I see,â She said with a nod. âNaw, Iâm from America, though Iâm staying here for a bit, though Iâm putting everything in boxes right now since Iâm renting a small flat nearby, more privacy, seems like Iâm staying for a bit longer than I thought.â

In which a chance meeting occurs and Remus is punched for giving tourist recommendationsÂ
As Remus watched Valeria disappear around the corner, he stared, gobsmacked. âWhat the hell,â he whispered, once she was safely out of earshot. The boy paused, before smacking his forehead against the thick book in his hands. âWhat the hell?â Good Godric, did he just â did she just?! He gawked, running a nervous hand through his hair as he made his way over towards the check-out station. Surely it was just an expression, she didnât really mean it. And of course, it was better to not be presumptuous over two friends visiting a shop⌠at least, thatâs what Remus told himself as he pushed open the glass doors and stepped out into the afternoon sun. Act normal, and donât be weird.Â
âRight, Iâve got my book,â he said, pulling off his rucksack to tuck it inside. âReady to go?â
âReady as Iâll ever be,â She said as she put her arm through his and pulled him along with her. She looked over at him and then his rucksack, âSo what do you carry in there? Only books and books?â She asked curiously, sheâd always been that - curious. She couldnât help it, she just wanted to know more about him, he seemed strangely secretive, and she wanted to know why. âPorn maybe?â She teased just to see him jump. âIâm kidding, before you stumble on your words,â She said with a small laugh.Â
lionessvance:
Emmeline blushed and looked down. âThey let you keep animals at Leakyâs?  she asked
âOh yeah, no... They donât know about that, so itâll be our little secret.â
chaoticxgoddess:
âBecause life with me is never dull.â
âThe more that time passes the more I believe it,â She said as she grabbed her drink and downed it. âHow are you, E?â
