A week ago, we had an opportunity to sit in a class at the headquarters of Goodwill Industries and discuss effective communication. One topic that touched us was evaluating how clients, customers, tenants, board members (or whoever you're providing service to) likes to be considered when initiating contact. From the tone of voice, to communication method (e.g. phone versus email) to overall frequency (once a month instead of daily) or preferred advanced notice.
