Did another painted model, this time s'mores toast!
Was going through my old blender files and realized I hadn't rendered this parfait model i made.
Not my usual art post but I've been making tons of mini clay baked goods and its been super fun!
I designed a few new Pokéballs, this is the first one the Sugar Ball.

So this is not my usual post, but I'm self-publishing my book!
I've been working on it for a little over two years at this point and am excited to announce that I'm releasing it on Monday! The book is a horror/ fantasy book with romance in it as well. It will be released on Kindle as well as paperback. The Amazon link is here for the Kindle version (and the paperback version will be available on Monday)
All of your food sculpts are amazing! I'm currently learning 3d modeling/animation and I just found your blog and it's amazing! if it's ok can I ask if you have any tips for a beginner? (only if you're comfortable)
Oh my gosh thank you so much for the compliments!!
My biggest advice for a begginer at 3d animation and modeling is to not get frustrated if things dont look the way you want them to at first. I still struggle with that. Also, tutorials will be your best friend forever. I find there's still a lot I don't know with these programs after like 7 years. This is more advice for creative endeavors in general though.
Specifically for 3d modeling, I would say definitely learn about keeping topology clean and in quads or triangles and what works best. I ignored it for a while, and it's really annoying to go back and have to recall how to do things the right way. Also only adding geomertry/ smoothing or subdividing when necessary. I used to smooth everything all the time because I liked the look of it, but it really bogs down the scene and makes things 10x harder. There are other ways to do it like sofenting normals.
I hope this helps!
A Bubbling Potion
I was following a tutorial to get the look of a see-through bottle and thought, why not add a fluid simulation too
Some cinnamon rolls I modeled to test out some new brushes I got in blender
I wanted to try the shatter and rigidbody effects in Maya so I made this quick animation.

An isometric Bakery I modeled in blender over the past few weeks. I kept going back in and adding more details to it and I really like how it came out.
