Andrea + David / SmogShoppe / Wedding
What do they say about rain on your wedding day being lucky? Here in LA, we view rain as a cause for celebration: life and renewal, clean skies and wildflowers. This past Thanksgiving weekend, David and Andrea brought us to one of our favorite locations, the SmogShoppe where our business started 6 years ago.
Marni from So Smitten Events coordinated a stylish, modern wedding under a tented courtyard to keep out the drizzle and the chill, softly lighting the succulent walls of the SmogShoppe. The couple made their grand entrance to Bon Iver's "Holocene", with DJ Gabe Soriano of Pacific Summit DJ Service mixing a perfect mix of jazz and chill lounge during dinner. Huntington Caterers fed us a fantastic Chicken Ravioli and then it was on....the photobooth opened for some of the best photographs we've had so far.
Our newest attendant is Avery Tucker, a talented street photographer photographing night scenes, graffiti artists and LA life. We're lucky to have him, he turns our photobooth into fine portraiture...just look at those eye lightlights!
I also wanted to give a shout out to Tyler Branch Photography for their desert engagement shots which graced their guest book and our "welcome screen" instructions. What you don't see is Andrea's Red dress blowing on David's dark suit in the desert wind. Check out their website, maybe you'll see it there.
The SmogShoppe never fails to deliver, come (purple) rain or shine. I love LA.
