happy 4th!
Hey guys!
It’s been a while since posting here, but I am beginning another set of photos with my Yashica-D. This shot was taken on a Nikon digital camera, but I also shot a similar set up on my medium format camera. It’ll be a little while, but I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out on film! Either way, the photos from the digital, are fun so far! Thank you to Ashley for helping on this test shoot! Sunday went from venting, to photo shoot, to sushi and Game of Thrones. Great lazy Sunday!
Looking forward to having more to post!

Tonight I was booked for two events and one ended up being a canceled booking. After my event finished I realized I was way too close to the ocean to turn around and go home, so I went to Malibu. I’m not all about canceled bookings, but an early night was nice and I haven’t heard waves in too long! I got to Pepperdine though and saw this when I came over the hill. We all have the where we were stories we can tell, but this memorial gets me every year. There is a flag matching the nationality of each person killed in 2001. There was a woman in the flags crying tonight and I was careful not to take her photo, but she walked deeper into the flags when she saw me.
Hug someone a little tighter today

More backstage fun photos that I’m not in! haha!
Many more to come. I’ll get better at posting on Tumblr, I promise! (I know I have said that a lot)

haha *Photographer professionalism Disclaimer: Oooh, No! I would not normally make it my mission to get backstage or after party photos of myself with the musicians on a shoot! Except that this is not a one off shoot for a client. I work with these guys weekly and the Jam night has become a hilarious family so it’s a little different with these lovely people.*
I am never in photos! At least not often at work, so after it was suggested by multiple musicians I have been working with on these nights, I have stepped in front of the camera or done DSLR selfies when I get a second of down time (the selfies are just because I get hilariously nervous when I pass off my camera). Here are a few of the photos of me and some of the people I have been working with lately.
More will have to happen, I’m missing so many great ones!
More tomorrow!
Cheers guys!

Mr. Michael Starr live at Lucky Strike Live Photography by Tamea
My photos have been making their rounds lately! it’s been fun!
Nuno Bettencourt gave me the best feedback I could have ever asked for. It is my goal as a photographer to tell a story and inspire people whenever possible, so this response to my work was very touching to me. (As always, thank you Nuno!) I took this photo for Nuno and The guys of Extreme at Irvine Meadows in Southern, California.
People, Billboard, and Page six ran my photo of Johnny Depp and Gene Simmons taken at Lucky Strike Live in Hollywood.
Lucky strike has become a source of so many great moments for many of us! From guitar techs becoming Johnny’s guitar wizard, to my shoots with many of the guys, our jam nights have become a hilariously huge part of all of our lives.
Cheers friends!

The past week has been full and fantastic!
I shot for Extreme in Irvine this weekend and they put on a great show and came out the following day to add to the Mending Kids benefit in Hollywood.
I spent a day in rehearsals with great musicians at Swinghouse Studios prepping for a show over the weekend.
New Politics had me out to shoot their album release party. They were fun to watch and went for their signature breakdancing (I would break my neck if I tried his tricks)
My home club hosted a great benefit for Mending Kids with Johnny Depp, Gene Simmons, and many other artists that I am lucky enough to work with fairly frequently. We loved having Johnny and Gene join the party! The photo here has made it to People magazine and Page six (and apparently some local papers as well)
I finished out the busy week with a couple days in studio at Capitol Records.
So much music and so many talented people make life beautiful!
Cheers everyone!
Musicians, Weddings, Parties... I have nothing if not variety!
Love it

We’re having a great time bringing the rock community together every wednesday in Hollywood. Supergroups and ridiculous musicians join us every week and we have a blast!
I have a fun job photographing these guys!

One of my favorite places to shoot is my cheers. A very talented performer celebrated her birthday on a show night and we all celebrated after the show. This was E$ before we brought out the surprise. We’re a big crazy family!

Going through photos from the last few weeks. Tanya is the Most Dangerous Woman in Hollywood and always puts on a fun show.
