OKAY well i have multiple recs for u my good dude. 

for background on kon el (like, creation) read the adventures of superman starting at issue #500! that will basically get you into the death of superman/superman reborn storyline where kon first appears (i think its like maybe 10 issues within that arc?) 

basically the path ur gonna follow after this is (and feel free to skip stuff as you want)superboy (1994) - amazing seriesyoung justice (1998) - literally the cutestyoung justice secret files superboy & the raverstitans/young justice graduation day - sets up teen titans 2003teen titans (2003) - kon is ooc but thats ok we forgive him for itinfinite crisis (2005) - kon is actually like. a major playeradventure comics (2009) - like through issue #5? i think? then it gets weird

and that’s all his pre new-52 appearances other than a few guest appearances in other books (like impulse or robin). kon el is literally the best character i love him so much and he’s good and pure!! dont read anything with kon el in it past 2011 its NOT valid and that is NOT kon el dc and scott snyder in particular can choke
