Maya Weug is being Cut Out by Motorsport and Scuderia Ferrari

Maya Weug will no longer race in 2026, and has opened up about failed plans after her 2025 vice championship season in F1 Academy. She was left on her own; with no support. Weug has publicly requested for teams and sponsors to reach out to her. The plans that were originally in place were pulled out from under her and she scrambled for a seat. Now even that has gone away.

Maya Weug is one of the greatest talents of her generation. She was abandoned by Scuderia Ferrari. They dropped her unceremoniously with not a single explanation.

Maya doesn’t deserve this, she has more talent in her pinky finger than most other drivers have in their whole body. The fact that she has had resorted to public pleading to save her career is disappointing and at the same time, an all too familiar occurrence for female drivers.

Re: pastor. Saying it on anon bc I’m not risking it and you don’t need to post this at all, but for context look up the Venezuelan PDVSA (national oil company) crypto scam. One of the closest govt allies was charged for stealing $25 billion. Billion w a B. He’s likely used as a scapegoat and it’s extremely unlikely nobody knew/stole more bc it’s been decades of obvious corruption cases

PDVSA’s fall is one of (if not the imo) main reasons why the country’s fallen economically. It was long problematic and circa 2002 Chavez fired/replaced workers for loyalists and oil production fell, and that was crippling bc things (esp food) is/was imported and there were currency/production controls imposed by the govt, so without little national production + little oil money coming in = inflation, devaluation, hunger. Add to that the many instances of corruption reported through the decades and p much anybody recoils if you mention PDVSA

I live near where a former PDVSA exec lived and people still (15+ yrs later) hiss and laugh nervously if you mention his name

So yeah that’s a huge reason why Pastor’s PDVSA funding was side eyed. From the start it was obvious he was being used to whitewash the govt w public funds at a time of great need and likely corruption involved. And to have a rich guy traveling around the world praising socialism while the people are starving… yahhhh. IIRC he got a copy of Bolivar’s sword too? (Maybe w rubies and gold but I’m not sure if I’m confusing it w smth else)

What's the George to Audi propaganda? Let's hear it then.

well, anon, i'm so glad you asked!

1 - Audi's history in motorsport. they are competitors in almost every sport they're in--Le Mans they have won 13 of their 18 starts; have 4 WRC titles; have won 9 25 DTM titles out of the 25 years it's been running; third total wins in RX (although one could argue that VW and Audi are the same thing); were the first to bring all-wheel drive to rally; first to bring a 5 cylinder engine; they have a history of just bringing some bullshit to the track that somehow works; their main rivals are Mercedes-AMG. give it a couple years and they will be of the same calibre in F1

2 - early investment. Audi have just joined, they need input from experienced drivers to fine-tune that engine and car (hence why they kept Hulk). this is the perfect time for George to join so that the car is built to work with him and Gabi. George is also a wealth of information they can use, and his experience will be invaluable

3 - current performance. i think everyone seems to forget that joining your first year in F1 with your own engine as a midfield team and not as a backmarker is actually pretty fucking impressive. they are hungry for a win, so they will do what it takes to support their drivers, and not play politics like Torger

4 - poetry. Audi in the 1930s (then Auto Union AG) used to be known as Silver Arrows before the name became synonymous with only Mercedes. it's fitting that George resurrect it as he, to me, is the last Silver Arrow in F1, whilst Merc have literally removed the silver from their logo and colour scheme. as stated above, Audi's main rivals in other divisions are Mercedes-AMG, George's success would be a revenge arc. George also suits the branding--German automotive branding is all about precision and innovation and performance, perfectionism. they are understated and sophisticated. he can still be a diva here. Audi's current motorsport legacy is in the likes of Michele Mouton, also a diva

5 - aesthetics. George would look good in the race suit and the vermilion won't wash him out the way the aquamarine does
