My FitBit arrived today! Just finished setting it up, creating an account, and linking it to my myfitnesspal account :) 10,000 steps a day here I come!

Mischievous Lass

From the church at Plimoth Village we could see the ocean. We moseyed into the village to get information on how to walk down to the shore.

"Can we get to the ocean from here?"

"Oh yes, but the gate is closed," says an elderly “villager".

"Could you open it for us?" *Smiling my sweetest smile*

(Pauses to study if I'm joking or not) "...Well you’re a mischievous lass, aren’t you!" (staying in character)

"Uh huh!" *nods head and grins*

"Did you go to school?"

"Yes"

"Mischievous lasses generally don’t go to school."

"HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"”

Pandora vs Spotify

After a very un-scientific study, I have come to the conclusion that those people who are quick decision-makers, know what they want, and do not enjoy delayed gratification are Spotify Users. Those who are more laid back, who don't mind trying something new, and who are more patient prefer Pandora.

How do I know this? Because I make quick decisions, I know what I want, and I want it now. If I like a song, I want to add it to a playlist and set it on Repeat 1 until I get sick of it (Spotify). I don't want to make a playlist of songs LIKE the one I like (Pandora), I want to hear that one song that I like! 

Some other friends prefer to pick a mood and let the songs play themselves (Pandora). They don't consider the time well-spent to make a playlist of guaranteed goodies; whatever Pandora comes up with is "good enough". 

Ever noticed how if you make a playlist on Pandora based off of your current favorite song, it never actually plays your favorite song, just songs that kind of sound like it? What's the point of that??! I want to hear my favorite song!

So, yeah, I'm a spotify user. I consider my 9.99 a month well spent!

New Post

Alright world. It's been 11 months since I tried to find the most awesomest blogging site and I wasn't convinced it was tumblr but I guess it is...so here goes nothing. I hope to use this to record my thoughts, and I apologize in advance if they are completely uninteresting to you. 

I plan on using the iPhone app to post pictures from time to time. I am disappointed there's no iPad app, as I use my iPad more than a desktop computer or laptop. 

On my mind right now - Christmas presents. I'm almost done shopping! Very excited for people to see the gifts I've gotten them :) 

One thing on my to do list - create my Christmas Cookie & Delights baking schedule, so I make sure to have everything done by December 21, when I will be handing out the cookie gifts. 

For now, it's off to sleep. Good night!
