First of all, I need you to know this exists.
It is at Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It is part bovine, part boat. A boatvine, if you will.
But look closer.
It is clad in what appear to be traditional men’s short pants of the era, with stockings and buckled shoes. Hooves. Shooves. But?
It has an udder. This is found on cows, not bulls.
This, my friends, is a genderqueer boatvine.
And its name?
MOOFLOWER.
I'm from Plymouth. Plimoth Plantation sucks

Living History Museums, Part 1: An Introduction
Living History Museums, Part 1: An Introduction
My brother and I were exposed to history, museums, and living history museums early on in our childhood; it shouldn’t be any kind of surprise that I ended up as an archaeologist, and he, a Medieval history scholar. I loved reading about the past and viewing artifacts of daily life. My family often visited the Ohio Village, which is a reconstructed town presenting daily life during the Civil…
