Yet at the same time, participants rated sycophantic AI models as higher quality, more trustworthy, and more desirable for future use, which may explain why this behavior has persisted despite its harmful impacts.

One of my favorite things in life is when someone likes something I suggested just as much or more than I like it.

On the other hand I am a horrible person to recommend media to. If you send me a video or movie to watch I'm probably not gonna watch it and if I do I come in with way too high of expectations and don't like it. Compared to when I find the media on my own and have no expectations and love it.
