Throw back to the summer of 2019. Last year I was lucky enough to go to Germany for two weeks to stay with a friend who lived in the south of Munich, close to the Austrian border. Over the first Friday and Saturday of me being there we drove 2 and 1/2 hours to the Austrian boarder and climbed up the mountains in Tirol. Not only was the view and company amazing, but the weather held out for us too reaching highs of 37℃ I will never forget the view we had half way up the mountain (the first picture), if you looked up you could see mountain peaks and the blue sky, looked down and you could look over the towns, rivers and the lake. Although many of us may not be able to go abroad this summer, lets all appreciate the memories we have gained from those times.❤

As humans we only see the big things in life and often overlook the minors, like this daisy. But it still contains the same amount of beauty as a sunflower... you just have to look closer. Even things in life what may get classed s “weeds” can contain beauty! As a society we natural strive to make big statements of ourselves and when we see someone who has done wrong we class then as “weeds” (metaphorically speaking.) No one is perfect, so why only see the bad in people?.. if you look closer you may just find the good in them and see their true beauty.

As spring is slowly merging into summer we are slowly seeing nature coming and going as it pleases providing photographers with amazing opportunities to capture nature transitioning, weather it be on a walk or in the garden. In the current situation we are in, with the pandemic, it means for many they cannot leave their property. They do not have a garden/green space like some people may have and for those who do have it [we] take it for granted. I am one of those who are thankful to have a garden and hope to put it to good use by capturing elements of it (like this allium) and sharing the beauty of it.

Like humans, cats (well in fact any animal) can be best-friends. In the words of Rick Astley, they will never “give you up, let you down... and desert you”
Had to miss out “run around”, well cause they’re animals😅

Winter evenings (2019) are truly beautiful. They come and go as they please but I was lucky enough to capture this amazing sunset from my bathroom window.. who would have thought! The composition of this image isn’t edited in anyway, its all natural! It’s in these hard times of isolation I truly appreciate the true form of nature.❤
Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.- Henri Cartier-Bresson

The skyline of London provides us with views that we can’t see anywhere else in the world. It may not be taken from the top of the Burj-Khalifa in Dubai but to me it is one of the best views I will see. The urban skyline shows the development of London over years by man; its living history right in front of us and too often we dismiss it. But through the power of photography we can share these amazing views and experiences and truly appreciate the beauty of where we live and go and not just cast it aside. I’m truly thankful for the world we live it despite its failings an shortcomings :)
