I think that gk might be cursed to only have bad adaptations ngl. The anime is unwatchable past season 3, and the live action movies manage to be even worse. And based purely on reviews you’d think that the anime and movies are at least decent. I know it’s all a cash grab, but it’s just disappointing that the people working on the adaptations couldn’t put in the minimum effort to understand the story and try to do it justice :/

oh fr? i wouldn't watch the live action if you paid me but i genuinely haven't seen a bad word addressed its way, if anything it's nothing but praising how good it is, especially for a live action. oh well, we do live in an era of pointless empty praise from people with no standards. everything about it that is NOT the manga has been so incompetent... the anime, the live action apparently, the advertising, the collaborations, the merchandise, the expositions, the extra materials except the fanbook... all cash grabs with no passion or quality behind them. it really is very bizarre. it's like noda has poured all of the effort in the world into creating the manga itself so there was nothing left.
