WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?
At the moment it's my new sewing machine! I'm not sure about it being inanimate though, the old one definitely had character, this one is very demure at the moment.

South Downs!!
Hooray, made it up the hill at the Long Man of Wilmington at last! Thanks to aroseforavampire for the help and encouragement.
Also the "South Downs" shawl is finished (and sold)
Onwards and Upwards
The South Downs area is one of my favourite places, so now I am planning a shawl to try to represent these:
Castle Hill, near Brighton
Long Man of Wilmington
Using my favourite yarn , Marble Chunky. I love the grassy green tones of this shade
Speaking of The Long Man of Wilmington, at the weekend I had an expedition there. I used to go up the hill to the Anderida Gorsedd open rituals,

But a knee injury and the wet winter have hindered me. This time I made it a little way up the path, but there is still a long way to go,onwards and upwards!
The path trodden so far, and the one yet to be tackled.
Upwards! Its steeper in real life, honest!
The feel of soft yarn between your fingers, the rhythmic click-click-click of knitting needles, the satisfaction of watching your work growing inch by inch while at the the same time your breathing slows, your body relaxes and the cares of the day slip away with every stitch. No wonder knitting is so popular. The rise …
Crochet Waters of the World finished in time.
My crochet version is now done
Waters of the World
Now that the turquoise shawl is done Its onto planning the next project. I have been thinking of another "water "shawl, this time for me, and I am trying to get it done for the Water of the World ritual next weekend. This is a global day of ceremony to protect, heal and bless the world's waters from fracking

I am doing a crochet version of this shawl called Ocean Breeze
from http://queeniescabin.blogspot.co.uk/search?updated-min=2008-01-01T00:00:00-05:00&updated-max=2009-01-01T00:00:00-05:00&max-results=15
and the best thing is that I have found all but one colour in my yarn stash, or collection .
Hooray! Shawl finished.
Charity Knitting
Very exciting! Knit for Peace http://www.knitforpeace.org.uk/ have tweeted some of the baby knitting I sent to them!
Just keep knitting....
I have my first follower already and nothing posted!
Very excited to be working on my first ever commission, a shawl. So it is a process of inspiration, perseverance and the waving of pointy sticks to transform this....
Into a full grown version of this...
