Our studio received a lot of wonderful jewelry in the past few days, but this rose gold and white opal "Janna" ring is a personal favourite. Thanks, as always, for the true beauties, Body Vision Los Angeles.

Jenny is just the biggest sweetheart on earth, and getting to pierce her was so fun. You can't see the rest of her piercings, but ALL of her jewelry is big, shiny, & mint green, so of course her tragus was no exception. Today I got to snap a healed photo of her tragus, pierced with a 16g ANATOMETAL flatback and a CZ & mint green flower. I love Jenny. <3
Fun sister tragus day! These sisters wanted matching piercings, and kept saying, "We are so cuuuuuuute!" to which, I would be inclined to agree. The helix piercing on the bottom photo was also pierced by me today. All three piercings are sporting a 2mm prong CZs by Neometal.
It's been quiet in here, sorry about that!
Today I was lucky enough to have an old client come in and show me her healed forward helix piercings that I did for her a year ago (bottom photo) and bring a friend to get the same set of piercings (top two photos)! It's fun to compare photos and see just how different these sets of piercings can look from one ear to the next, but both girls pull 'em off so well!
Both sets feature 18g Neometal flatbacks with cabochon ends.
Not only was this trio of piercings fun (and challenging) to do, but they also reside in one of my favourite people on the entire planet, who just so happened to be a co-worker and former counter person in the last studio I worked in. These healed vertical lip and philtrum piercings all sport 18g titanium jewelry from Neometal, and are worn by a true star.
A client walked in today to buy a piece of jewelry for her never-healing, very deep tragus piercing (originally pierced elsewhere), and walked out with a fresh piercing on the other tragus sporting an Anatometal flatback with a flower end. Oh, and we removed the original jewelry to let the original piercing close and heal. Feels good!
I mentioned that I love doing ear piercings, right? These little triple projects have been very popular for the last little while, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Whenever a client asks me about one of these projects I have an internal *fist pump* moment. Of course not all projects will suit all ears, but this client had a beautiful, wide flat to pull off the sizing and spacing that we went with. All 18g Neometal flatbacks with 1.5, 2.0, & 2.5 mm bezel CZs.
The photos are not ideal in this one, but it is great when someone’s anatomy is just perfect for the piercing they are asking for. This lovely person wanted an anti-tragus piercing and it was defined enough that we got to use a 16g flatback. Featuring a titanium and blue opal cabochon from Neometal.
This. Was. So. FUN!
This client wanted the daintiest little ear project possible. We worked out a few ideas together and came out with this wee little triangle of 18g 1.5mm prong CZs in her upper ear. Jewelry by Neometal. Pardon the small gentian violet smudge!
My friend Alana was kind enough to let me do whatever piercings I asked to perform on her. So, of course, I wanted to do a daith piercing. Why not? This is a healed 16g 5/16” daith with a bangin’ water opal captive gem by Industrial Strength. Water Opals. Oof.
I am just going to get this out of the way and say it, because you are bound to notice sooner or later by my selection of photos: Ear piercings are my favourite. I don't have one favourite in particular, but ear bits are so awesome. The options are virtually limitless, there is so much you can do. They are challenging enough to keep you on your toes, and no two ears are alike. I love it. This particular group of piercings are two "faux snug" piercings. Rather than doing two snug piercings through particularly un-unaccomodating anatomy, we did four separate piercings placed to mimic snug piercings. They were performed with 16g Neometal titanium flatbacks as opposed to traditional curved barbells. The bottom set of piercings is actually about 4 months old in this photo, and the top set is fresh.
This was a serious treat, I love when these things come together!
Like always, I am a wee bit late on the internet game. Since everyone and their cats all have Tumblr pages, I figured it was about time for me to join in. Welcome to my piercing blog!
