Another week another hotel ...

160K in a week is a first for me, pretty pleased with that. This week is going to be much more sedate! Resting and relaxing for the Great South Run 🏃 next Sunday.

This dog rocks, clearly even more settled into the local pub culture than I am! It’s not my pooch I hasten to add.

If there is anything that makes our “Rufus Hound” cower and hide ... it’s one of his Dads grooming sessions. Clippers, scissors and shampoo. Poor Roger had the lot this morning while our boy cat slept blissfully on the settee. Rog is a real raggamuffin of the ultimate scruff bucket variety and in keeping with his style, after two hours clipping and shampoo’ing .... he looks scruffier than when I began albeit minus his self cultivated ‘Gremlin-esque’ furry collar. Hey ho, I am happy to report I’m still his best friend in spite of his Sunday morning rigours.

Emsworth is a fabulous place to live, especially when you can spend Sunday afternoon in the October sunshine limbering up to cook Bangers and Mash with a pint 🍺 in the garden of the Lord Raglan over looking slipper mill pond. Beaut!
