Different versions of Makishima Yuusuke in Yowapeda Puchitto Racers
Maybe It’s Not My Weekend|Closed

Work had been all sorts of stressful lately. The girl who usually scheduled appointments had called out last minute, leaving the salon understaffed. When asked if he’d play receptionist for the day, Yuusuke couldn’t manage to choke out that he had no clue how to work the scheduling system nor could he stomach the fact he’d have to be taking calls from strangers all day (he barely managed to pick up the phone when family called him). This left him to spend a good chunk of the day debating whether or not to fake coming down with something, but by the time the man was allowed to clock out (an hour after he was scheduled to work) he swore he was coming down with some sort of stress sickness.
After stopping by a drug store to pick up some just-in-case antihistamine, Yuusuke started the trek back to his apartment. Of course the day he began to feel like shit was the day he decided ‘hey, it’s a nice day out! Let’s walk around the city instead of bike! What could possibly go wrong?’ The answer, apparently, was a lot could go wrong, or at least enough to ruin his day.
Too wrapped up in his own negative mind to notice where he was going, he felt his lanky body bump into someone else. Maybe ‘bump’ was an understatement, it was more like full-on crashing into a complete stranger. Yuusuke’s eyes went wide as he felt his torso collide with someone else, and as soon as he was able to comprehend what had just happened, staggered back to look at who he had practically mowed down.
“Shit! Sorry, I, uh- my bad, sho. Are you okay? I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

There was still plenty of time before his next class, but Honey wanted to get a good seat this time around. The last time, he was forced to sit in the very back, and couldn’t see a thing because of everyone’s heads. The blond walked through the main entrance of the campus, but was soon asked a question by somebody else.
Honey tilted his head upwards to get a better look at the stranger asking him the question. The man was almost a foot taller than him, with long, green-ish hair. Maybe he was a new professor in the English department? The lines on his face made him seem old, so it was a possibility.
Being an engineering student, he had no idea where the English building was. English was one of the mandatory subjects, since for some reason the university thought that those who mainly takes maths don’t know how to read and write, but the boy had never attended a single class. There was nothing to learn anyways. And yet, he was still passing the class. He had handed in all of the assignments so far.
Thinking for a bit, he finally decided upon a direction to where he thought the building was. Pulling lightly on the man’s sleeve, he pointed, “It’s that way, mister. I’ll lead you there.”
Before really getting to process what the short blond had said, Yuusuke felt his sleeve being tugged. It wasn’t even the sudden physical contact that made him squirm, more so the fact that the shirt he was wearing stretched so easily. Obviously this man had his priorities straight.
“Thanks...” He mumbled. He followed the kid with a million thoughts racing through his mind. Were they supposed to make small talk while they walked? Casual conversations were a struggle with even his closest friends, let alone shooting the breeze with a complete stranger. The only time he really thrived in communication was during races, where it was vital or the team would fall apart.
“So... um,” He began awkwardly. Not exactly sure what to do or say. Christ, he was hopeless if he was going to eventually go into teaching. What would he do on the first day of a new year, clam up and just assign book work? No one would learn anything and that would be the second failed career Yuusuke would have to deal with. “I’m, uh, Yuusuke Makishima, sho. A freshman.”
He cracked another awkward, jagged smile in an attempt to make himself look friendly. He was almost sure that he was failing at it, but what bad could an attempt do (it could do a lot)? “What’s your name, sho?”

This was it. Today was the day Yuusuke Makishima would attend classes in four entire years. He was terrified, the last few times he had moved up a grade it was only high school, meaning he at least had familiar faces in the same school. This was different. He was in university now, and the other third years had probably graduated already (he wasn’t sure, though. He was terrible at keeping in touch).
Once again, Yuusuke was alone.
Standing at the main campus entrance, he heaved a heavy sigh. Was too late to get back on his bike and pedal back to his apartment? No- he made it this far. To throw in a cheesy bike metaphor, he was near the top of a steep hill, all he had to do was reach it.
Withing five minutes of stepping on campus he was lost and forced to ask someone for help. Interaction with strangers was never something Yuusuke was good at, and he probably would never be. He took a deep breath, ran a hand through his hair, and sauntered over to the nearest person.
“Um... Excuse me? Do you know which way the English building is, sho? I’m kind of lost....”
Stageplay Yowamushi Pedal “IRREGULAR -Two Peaks-” second insert song, “Company.”
Song by Hirose Tomoki (Makishima Yusuke), Kitamura Ryo (Toudou Jinpachi), Sohoku and Hakogaku, and response song to “Two Solitary Riders.” The scene in this one ends rather suddenly because I wouldn’t reach a pause point otherwise. No, this pedastage is not fully subbed. Please purchase the DVD/BD. [x][x]
