Now to prime and paint! I finally got some progress done with my Lan Fan cosplay. I'm pretty happy how this turned out. The first time I used worbla and I love this stuff! Can't wait to work some worbla armor in the future.

Lexington Comic Con was great! I was only there for sunday but ibhad a blast! Omglob, I met my senpais at Lexington Comic Con! It was amazing!

Happy 20th Anniversary to one of the biggest inspirations of my life, it’s hard to imagine there was a me before you, Pokémon.

Though pikachu is in fact my favorite, he also represents the franchise as a whole here, so please imagine this with your own favorite pokemon, as you reminisce and celebrate today’s momentous occasion.

Congratulations Raleigh on making the best first impression possible. So many movies the male character meets the female character through some misunderstanding or she hates him to begin with because she doesn’t “get” him. Raleigh is a perfect gentleman from the first second. HE SPEAKS JAPANESE. Like somewhere along the line he learned Japanese well enough to converse in it (and he’s already said that he and Yancy weren’t really good students, so this boy put some effort into this at some point). And he lets her know that he can keep up with her, but without really embarrassing her. His better or worse comment is disarming and his expression is completely charmed that he caught her judging him. So she’s already modifying her opinion of him by the second to last gif (and he succeeded in making her smile). And rather than laugh and swagger off, he gives her a very respectful nod, an acknowledgement of her culture rather than his. Everything about Raleigh focuses on Mako rather than himself.

This week’s Throwback Thursday is Inu no Taisho from Inuyasha. I’m really proud of this costume! It really pushed me to use all of the skills I had learned as a cosplayer. Sewing, armor making, make up, wig styling. It was one of my first intense costumes, I had to have cannypucacosplay follow me the whole time carrying my tails, fixing my ears, holding an umbrella over me to keep the snow off, even putting one of my contacts back in. >_<;; That girl has the patience of a saint. But yeah I’m super proud of what I did with this and hope to be able to make more costumes on this level in the future!
