i'm genuinely so uncomfortable with the idea of bertram as some anti-capitalist icon when he literally tells morrigan that he doesn't care about her and doesn't love her even though he KNOWS what it's like to grow up in the wintersea republic as a cursed child and he knows how awful it must have been for her since he knew her father as his brother.
