Tintin (a curious cat) is a dog person and Haddock (old sea dog) is a cat person and that's why they are soulmates change my mind
Can we agree that this is @dimdiamond right now?
I'M LOSING MY MIND

Finally my boy is coming backđâ€ïž
if this is a joke I swear to god
in case anyone was wondering, the song that Bianca sings in the film during the chase scene is âJe veux vivreâ (âJulietteâs Waltzâ) from Charles Gounodâs five-act opera RomĂ©o et Juliette (Romeo and Juliet). here is French opera legend Natalie Dessay performing it. give the whole thing a listen if you can, itâs actually a really cool song when there arenât any unhinged ginger distractions.
I discovered this yesterday during a performance workshop at uni. one of my classmates performed it and within the first few bars I was like holy shit I know this one. it was nice hearing it in its entirety without the destruction of an entire Moroccan town over the top.
Hergé's Alph-Art planning notes. These few pages were previously undiscovered until the early 2000s, when they were compiled and re-published alongside the rest of the Alph-Art manuscript.
Do you think Snowy ever gets offended that Tintin pretends heâs got rabies to scare people away?
Milou has two wolves inside him that constantly fight: one being a diva that says âHUMAN WATCH ME!â and the other being a bitch that says âHUMAN PERISH!â
Hergé made Milou a dog because he knew that if he was a human, it would be called the adventures of Milou instead
If youâre ever stuck when writing a story, break your main characters legs and then have a milf show up. She doesnât have to help
this is literally the plot of the castafiore emerald
Tintin adaptations throughout the years
The Adventures of Tintin have been adapted more than a dozen times into several different media, including radio, movie, television, theater, and video games. Most of these adaptations are based on the original 23 comics:
*Not included due to lack of information Radio Luxembourg radio play (1956-1961) - French Radio-Canada radio play (1962-1965?) - French
The most popular books to adapt have been Red Rackhamâs Treasure, The Seven Crystal Balls, and Prisoners of the Sun (with ten adaptations each), while Tintin in the Land of the Soviets (with zero adaptations) and Tintin in Congo (with only two) have been the least popular. There have also been no adaptations of Tintin and Alph-Art. Itâs interesting to note that the Swedish radio play also adapted Tintin and the Lake of Sharks, despite it not being one of the official books of the series.
The languages on the table indicate the original language the adaptation came out in; however in some were also made available in other languages as well. This is the case with the TV shows, movies (except the one from 1949), and video games.
.
There have also been other Tintin adaptations not based on original comics that were either approved or tolerated by Hergé and Moulinsart/Tintinimaginatio (links may lead to French sites when English is not available):
Movies
Tintin et le mystĂšre de la Toison dâOr (1961) - French
Tintin et les oranges bleues (1964) - French
Tintin et le lac aux requins (1972) - French
Plays
Tintin aux Indes : Le MystĂšre du diamant bleu (1941) - French
Monsieur Boullock a disparu (1941) - French
Books
Dupont et Dupond detectives (1943) - French
Tintin et Milou chez les Toreadors (1947) - French
Tintin in the New World: A Romance (1993) - English
All three movies have had books made, though only Tintin and the Lake of Sharks was adapted into an official comic. There is however an unofficial comic adaptation of Tintin and the Golden Fleece available in French. The 2011 movie was also adapted as a novel.
The plays and books (except for the 1993 one) have seemingly been lost to time, so all that remains are summaries online and the occasional photo of a page.
Interestingly, the first adaptations date back to 1941, but it isnât until 1949 that the first adaptation of one of the comics is made. Since HergĂ©âs death, only one adaptation not based on the original comics has been published, and only because it received his approval before his death.
this is actually insanely interesting. Tintin is literally timeless
Tintin develops farsightedness at the age of 35 and categorically refuses to acknowledge it, instead claiming that he has always read the newspaper at arm's length and that he has no trouble seeing despite it becoming increasingly obvious that he's lying
Meanwhile Haddock, who by now is in his early fifties, still has 20/20 vision and mercilessly teases Tintin for getting old
