Merlin fanart inspired by the 15th century devotional prayer book Les Très Riches Heures du duc de Berry with references to some of my favourite episodes in Season 1

Aside from the mortaeus flower and the intertwined red and blue leaves the background also features four symbolic floral illustrations:

Oak leaves for Arthur ~ symbolising royalty, strength, longevity, and stability

Forget-me-nots for Merlin ~ symbolising enduring love, loyalty, and remembrance

Rowan leaves for Morgana ~ symbolising magic, protection, and warding off evil

Violets for Guinevere ~ symbolising modesty, humility, and devotion

Currently investigating the process for having high quality prints made, let me know if you’d be interested and/or if I should do more medieval manuscripts inspired by Merlin :)

Just finished watching Good Omens season 2... There is a loooot to unpack emotionaly wise. Both Tennant and Sheen's performances were off the charts. I love these two idiots so much! I just tried sketching them real fast tonight... But expect more sketches soon!
