I WAS F#CKING RIGHT! LETS GOOOOO!!
Mars is starting to realize that Folly IS a HORRIBLE person and the way she treats him and others around him is unacceptable. And it is!! She’s very demanding, she doesn’t show him respect, much less his friends and his sister. She treats him more like an object to possess than an actual person.
And again, like I said before, Folly has admitted she doesn’t even KNOW if she actually likes Mars. At most, she just likes having him around as a form of entertainment, but even in this episode, she makes it clear that she has walked away from conversations with him when he starts to speak about something passionately. (And it’s something she does to her own friends)
Mars himself says he KNOWS he shouldn’t feel any type of attraction to her and he doesn’t understand why he does. But all he knows is now, he just doesn’t like the way she treats others around him. And he doesn’t add a “But I would still like to go on a date…”, he doesn’t offer to help her understand. He literally says “there’s not much else to say…” and I think it’s because he’s realizing that they are not compatible.
I know Eleanor and the girls have stated they will help Folly become a better person, but even in the episode itself, Folly only agrees when Eleanor says that she could one up Harvest.
While Folly is realizing that not only Mars sees her as selfish, so do her friends, Folly doesn’t really seem to care to put effort into being a better person and she only immediately agrees if it means she gets to prove she’s better then Harvest.
Both the twins have a weird complex that they KNOW they’re bad people and they’re horrible to their friends, but they don’t really care too much to change their ways. Because they feel they are superior, or are owed something. Because they were brought into this world as nothing but tools to be used.
But even then, it’s not fair for them to constantly mistreat others and it’s because of that attitude of theirs that I don’t really like the twins that much.
Harvest is shown that out of everyone, he holds great feelings for Earth, Dazzle and Evelyn. He’s sweeter to children than he is to adults and has been shown to respect women more than men. And it’s clear he has some kind of unspoken feelings, or, sense of protection towards Earth, as he challenges Chico for her affection. But he is the MOST cruel to her, many times for NO reason and I’m surprised Earth even considers him a friend at this point.
And Folly is the exact same way with Mars. While she states she likes his company and finds him funny (like with Lunar), she has never really shown that she likes him for HIM. She admits in this episode she finds their conversations boring, like she does with anything that doesn’t involve or interest her personally. In past episodes, she has admitted she calls him “her wallet” and really wouldn’t care much if something happened to him. The only time it’s shown she holds some care for him is when he’s under the influence and Monty’s brownies and she watches over him, but it’s mostly because she finds him acting like a fool to be amusing to her. (But she also leaves when she realizes her presence is causing him distress)
Out of the two twins, Folly is definitely more open to learning then Harvest is, but both are incredibly selfish and flawed and really haven’t done much to prove they can be better, especially to those in which they claim to care about. Like Eleanor said, I wouldn’t be if Folly ended up being AROACE or something, because it’s clear that she doesn’t have any interest in women (like she told Mars before), but she also said that she also doesn’t think she has any feelings for Mars himself and is unaware of what that would look like.
I am glad to see Mars put his foot down because it’s been coming for a long time.
What this means going forward with their… relationship or whatever this is, idk. I genuinely think Mars is coming to the realization that what he feels for Folly isn’t even a crush, but moreso, a fascination he has towards her. And I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Mars comes to the realization that he also doesn’t wanna be in a relationship in general (as he has stated a few times before).
But that’s just my opinion
