So i totally forgot to post the last piece i made for Lúa's incredible fic for the @aroyallybigbangrwrb! Of course i had to illustrate Alex and Henry's The Notebook worthy kiss!

Was a struggle and a half to paint wet see-through fabric and wet hair, but i learned a lot!

Amongst the Orange Trees - Part 1/5

Hello, beautiful people! I'm happy to announce that the first part of my fic "Amongst the Orange Trees" is up on AO3! Thank you to @aroyallybigbangrwrb for organizing this wonderful event, to the one and only @pimvipart for the astonishing pieces of art (!!!) and to my beta-reader @england-would-fall (best editor out there).

Summary:

June 2023, Italy. Amongst the orange trees, Henry slowly finds his writer’s soul again. He has been feeling lonely for a while, meaninglessly pursuing a degree that was picked for him, shutting himself away from who he really is and what he really wants. In Pez’s family house on the Amalfi coast, time slows and he can breathe again. Yet, he still feels like something is missing to make him feel complete. Alex has run away. Asphyxiated by the pressure he has put on himself for years, running without a destination until his legs give way under the unbearable heaviness of his own expectations, he suddenly realizes that he doesn’t know who he is or why he is doing it all. He tries to find solace in the forms of salt water drying on his skin and endless blue washing away the harsh colors of the city. Yet, he still feels like something is missing to make him feel complete. As dawn washes ancient stones in a golden hue, two boys meet amongst the statues. As dusk sets on the cerulean sea, Alex and Henry find their way to each other’s souls.

Thank you for the ask boo! This fic is called Amongst the Orange Trees and it's the fic i'm writing for @aroyallybigbangrwrb! I love it and my fellow artist @pimvipart loves it too and is cooking amazing drawings for it <3 I'm gonna post the summary officially soon but basically Alex and Henry are both in vacation in Italy and it's a strangers to lovers AU. This is gonna be really soft and with lots of feelings. Here's a snippet:

Later, he will remember the piazza with the statues as the place where it all started. It will gain materiality as he comes back to it, as he lets his eyes search through every crack and detail of each statue, as he feels the weight of his feet on the ancient pavestones, as he bends to graze the petals of the wildflowers making their way through the fissures, where green grass creeps up between the slabs. Right now, all he can think is that he is in a dream. He didn’t wake up to the bougainvillea; the flowers put him back to sleep.
