      COULDN’T lose sight of nana just BECAUSE his stupid whiny FRIEND was having an ANXIETY attack due to an STUPID (fake) haunted house from a CHILDISH amusement park. accept the DAMN help, hold his hand and ALL solved. wasn’t that what THEY always did on THOSE cases when kids anyway?

                  his YOUNGER sisters were always ENTHUSIASTIC to hang out with nana, ... but in a haunted house? shoichi will never understand. heart racing, nerves TENSED, his hand EXTENDS out as fingers nervously BRUSH against arata’s and as soon as he finds the courage shoichi grasps AHOLD of it, trusting him to lead the way.

                  “e-eh? me!?” he looks around, then POINTS at himself once he REALIZES no one else was present.

                the other’s first name is ABRUPTLY slipped from the boy’s tongue (not like he never called him that before) due to fingers suddenly pressed against dark locks, a feeling rare and UNFAMILIAR to shoichi at this point. .. well, not everything NEEDED an answer, so the pinch server kept silent, SAPPHIRE hues softening at his friend’s features. why was he doing this though? it seemed so out of character for him.

                   the urge to speak was high; however he RESISTED the need to, not WANTING to make the temperamental setter SHIFT moods. it took him awhile to be comfortable with it, but eventually shoichi gives in, relaxation now more PROMINENT upon face (along with a few shades of blush coloring visage.)
