"Well, that’s," he grits his teeth (don’t say that Yamaguchi doesn’t play often anyway, don’t say it), "something I already covered. See! We can prepare everyone and switch out during games."
Of course, Kageyama wasn’t sure if that would actually work for long, but in theory at least, he liked the idea. It was true that for most of his years playing volleyball, he had almost always been in the game, but.. he’d sat the bench before. He could do it again, if he had to (and he probably would have to, no matter what team he joined, especially Oikawa’s).
It's certainly a surprise to see Kageyama attempting to compromise (surely something he would have never attempted before meeting Hinata), and the corners of Yamaguchi's lips twist upwards in response. He's been around Tsukki long enough for his pragmatic tendencies to wear off, and he knows what Kageyama is suggesting isn't entirely realistic but it's kind of ... nice ... to see him try, anyway.
He nods, slowly, "Well... I think it sounds like a good idea. The basketball teams managed to come together as one club so it," he stops to mumble again, "seems kind of silly that we can't." There's a smudge of red upon his cheeks when he looks up again. "But I'm not really ... you should probably talk to Ushijima and Oikawa about it. They're the ones organizing it?" He's pretty sure, anyway, though it has all been rather overwhelming for him.
