Hello i love your work!
Can i ask for
THEY COME HOME DRUNK AND MAKE AN OFFHAND COMMENT ON YOUR APPEARANCE ( i love the other with Atsumu)
With Kuroo, Bokuto AND Suna?
Thanks
THEY COME HOME DRUNK AND MAKE AN OFFHAND COMMENT ON YOUR APPEARANCE | 2
characters: bokuto + kuroo + suna + (gn!reader)
warnings: none but suna's is a teeny bit suggestive haha
notes: not me making part two literal months later––
part one / part two
haikyuu characters and how they know they’re still in love with you p2
[characters: kageyama, suna, kuroo, bokuto]
[hi so this hurt to write 👍]
kageyama opens the door to his apartment, slipping off his shoes and locking the door behind him.
“i’m home,” he announces, expecting to see the usual sight of you in the kitchen or on the couch but is only met with darkness and the realisation that you are no longer here.
the apartment itself is no longer bright and bustling. it is no longer filled with the pumpkin spice candles you buy or the playing or quiet music. shelves are no longer filled with your favourite books or knick-knacks that you bought on your holiday to rio.
kageyama scoffs quietly at himself. right. you’re gone now.
suna awakes to the coldness of his now half-empty bed, and his heart sinks in his chest. how long has it been since you’ve been gone? why hasn’t he moved on yet?
“you left the door unlocked?” atsumu calls out to you the second he enters your apartment, heavy bags of laundry and groceries occupying his arms, and with another second, you meet him in the kitchen.
“oh hey!” you chime, “you’re home!”
and atsumu looks at you, “you left the door unlocked!”
“it’s a safe neighborhood.” you shrug, tittering as you ignore his antics, and you walk over closer to him to welcome him home.
it’s been a long day without atsumu — he has his volleyball career and you have your college, but even after all that, he is still your husband, and it’s only right that you get to miss him.
atsumu settles down the bags he carried on the kitchen counter, a hand on his hip, and he turns your hug away.
he tells you, “what if a psychopathic maniac walked in?”
atsumu’s not going to college.
it’s not what he wants, and it’s not a requirement for his plans for the future. he has a one track road set for going pro in the volleyball industry, and he has no plans for detours slowing him down.
that was always “the plan”, and you were not part of it — you were always going to college, and you were going to spend the full time there making sure your future’s on the right track.
that’s why he broke up with you.
the two years he spent with you throughout high school gone down the drain the second he decided this would be better for him — and he feels like he’s wrong, because he still checks on you when you’re not looking — but atsumu’s dead set on the fact that he’ll only slow you down if he kept you with him.
or so, until now.
“atsumu, it’s two in the morning.” you tell him, your yawns coming in a drip drop motion as you try to understand what he’s doing in front of you right now.

Lost.
According to the Merriam-Webster Thesaurus, lost is an adjective. No longer possessed. Gone, mislaid, misplaced, missing. In sum, nowhere to be found. Not only that but a person can feel like they themselves are lost. Not physically lost, but emotionally or mentally. Not knowing what to do next or what was the meaning behind them living. One tiny word holds so many meanings. And to a sense, you understood them all.

Almost Perfect
Atsumu x Reader
A/N: Happy Birthday Kale!
-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~
You and Atsumu were never quite a perfect match.
You were a match together in the way a pair of ill-fitting pants are the perfect length but are too wide. You were almost perfect but not quite.
But that didn’t matter to you.
Atsumu’s hands may have been too big to hold perfectly but his arms were the perfect size to hold you close at night.
And perhaps your love of privacy wasn’t the best fit for Atsumu’s shining pro-athlete career but it was perfect for nights when both of you were tired of the world and just needed to bask in each other’s company.
To you, the horrible pick-up lines Atsumu made were enough. His excitement and passion for volleyball was enough. The fond expression on his face when he talked about your future together was enough.
To him, your support at his games–no matter how small–was enough. The shine in your eyes when you talked about something you loved was enough. The loving gaze you gave him when he was the first thing you saw each morning was enough.
What you had wasn’t perfection, but it was enough.
But just like every other imperfect couple, there were arguments.
At first, they had started off small. Little skirmishes about what to eat for dinner and where to put the furniture. No big deal.
You teased each other about these arguments. They were words with no consequence. They were words with no meaning to them.
But then the small arguments became more frequent.
Suddenly, you were arguing about everything and what used to be lighthearted quips became quarrels full of tension.
The tension grew. And grew. And grew. And they kept growing until one day Atsumu started to notice things.
He had noticed how you never spoke to him with that sparkle in your eyes. He would look for you at his games only to realize you weren’t there. In the mornings when he woke up, he saw your back turned to him instead of your loving gaze.
You started to notice things too.
You noticed Atsumu never stopped by your work to surprise you anymore. You had realized the passion in his voice when he spoke to you was missing. He never told you any cheesy pick-up lines anymore.
“When had things become so different?” You wondered.
“Maybe it was when we started to get into arguments about everything."
Atsumu’s dry response caught you off guard as you turned to him in surprise.
"What?"
"Ya asked when had things become so different.” Atsumu replied. “So I answered.”
Shit. You hadn’t meant to say that out loud.
“Don’t look so sour. You’re the one who asked the question, not me.”
“Well I’m sorry,” You retorted sarcastically. “My bad if I feel badly about the change in our relationship.”
“What’re ya getting pissy at me for? Ya literally asked!”
“And you couldn’t have said it more sensitively?”
“I’m telling the truth! What do ya want me to say? That we’re doing fine?”
“It’d certainly make me feel better!”
Your voices started to raise, that sickeningly familiar feeling of tension rising in the room.
“It would be a lie! What’s the point of a relationship if it’s just gonna be full of lies?” Atsumu spat.
“Ever heard of blissful ignorance?”
“Both of us know something’s changed so why the hell should we lie to ourselves?”
“God, why are you so difficult?!”
“I’m the difficult one? Ya aren’t even facing the truth!"
"You want me to face the truth? Fine! The truth is neither of us are happy in this relationship and we’d probably be better off if we just ended it!"
There it was. The words fell from your mouth with the taste of acid; that dreadful truth that you didn’t want to admit. Deep down, you knew it wasn’t working out. You knew the day you said I love you and didn’t mean it. You knew it was over but you still wanted to believe you could fix things. You clung to the hope that this was all just a bump in your relationship. Some terrible, torturous nightmare that you would wake up from any second now. Any second now, you would wake up to Atsumu saying he loves–
"Let’s end it then.”
This was a nightmare.
“Works for me since apparently you’re just as unhappy with me as I am with you.”
It’s all just another nightmare again. A flashback in time to that painful night. A night that was repeating itself now, years later.
“You’re so frustrating!” Atsumu’s words sliced through the air like a knife, pulling you out of your memories.
“Oh sure, call me the frustrating one when you’re the one making a scene!”
“You’re insufferable! I can’t believe I thought of marrying you!"
Time seemed to stop once you heard that sentence leave his lips.
”…What?“
"You heard me.”
“You…. you wanted to marry me?"
"More than anything. I was looking at rings before… before everything happened."
Atsumu paused.
"What a joke that was. Besides, that’s in the past now and it’s not like you would have said–"
"I would have said yes."
"You– you what?"
"I would have said yes.” You repeated with a raised voice, the pain heavy in your eyes.
There were few times in his life that Atsumu was truly rendered speechless.
In all his years of existence, there were only three times he remembers being truly speechless: the day you accepted his feelings, the day you left him alone in your old shared apartment…
And now.
There weren’t words that he could use to describe his emotions. He was at a complete loss of words and anything he might have said he couldn’t say as his tongue weighed heavy like lead with every word he could have said to get you to stay with him and didn’t. If he had asked, if he had begged, if he had just told you how much he loved you…
Would you have stayed?
But he couldn’t think of what he should have said because it was all in the past. He wanted to tell you now, in the present, what he felt because he might never have the chance to tell you how much you mean to him but he can’t. It was too little too late and he knew it.
So he didn’t say anything.
After all, what could he possibly say that could even come close to capturing the feeling of a shattering heart?
Unbeknownst to him, it was two glass hearts that broke beyond repair that day, because it was in that moment, you knew that you had lost something that would have been beautiful.
Both of you knew you had lost the endless possibilities of a future together. Memories that never were. A wedding that never was. A perfect fairytale love that would have lasted longer than the universe itself was gone and it would never be back.
You were almost perfect together.
😭😭😭😭

It hurt.
Your soul was bleeding
Your heart longing for his love more and more each day.
Longing for affection and all those sweet words that were like drug for your already dying heart.
Pathetic.
The only thing that felt still alive within you were those damn flowers which reminded you how beautiful yet how painful your love was.
The flowers that kept on blooming even though you felt like decaying.

Morning reblog <3
【10.30am】
they say a picture speaks a thousand words, but what if even the image you captured could not convey the complexity of your profound feelings?
what would happen then?
“did you have fun?”
he nodded with a satisfied hum, the device on his hand felt much heavier than it should’ve been when he first held it.
“well…what did you take?”
kenma hesitated for a moment, his thumb hovering just above the tiny trash button. the sharp gaze of his lingered over the smallest of details he couldn’t help but notice, while every new discovery seems to tug on his heartstrings like an angel on the harp.
“kenma?”
there were many thoughts running through his mind when he contemplated his options, but somehow, the thought of seeing your reaction intrigued him more than the natural route of deleting that particular picture.
“some photos…of what i like.”
“oh? can i see them?”
the obvious excitement dancing in your bright hues was more than enough to have him let out a sigh as he passed your camera back to you.
it was just a split second.
“kenma, are the clouds only what you like?”
you chuckled, observing the subtle differences in each picture of the sky he had taken.
“i do like them…but there’s something else…”
or someone else, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it.
he was threading his sentence lightly, eyes flickering from his phone to the images you were previewing.
when he was playing with the depth of field and trying to refocus the lens manually; it was in that one moment.
“hmm? and what’s that?”
you nonchalantly asked, still going through the series of skies and some random photos of blurred fingers and sandy ground. his sudden shift in the type of silence lingering in the air did not go unnoticed by you as wondered what was wrong with him today.
“ken—”
then, you saw it.
that one particular picture that had him in a bundle of nerves like a ticking time bomb.
you were gazing at the endless stretch of the deep blue sea, seemingly getting lost in its beauty when each crush of waves was like an orchestra—playing right into your heart.
and in that tiny viewfinder of a rusty camera, it was as if the whole universe held its breath together with him at that magical moment; the way your hair was carried by the breeze in a slow dance, to the way your eyes were soft and curious; as if you were lost in the wonders of what the sea had to offer.
if he had admired you a second more or rushed a second less, he wouldn’t have captured the rarity of your profile.
“since when did you…?”
there was a million train of thoughts going through your mind when you brought your attention back to the very male you may or may not have a huge crush on for years. kenma wasn’t exactly the type of person who’d notice your feelings for him when you were practically close to him since birth. and yet, there was something odd in the way he was looking at you that day.
“sorry…”
he thought you might understand what he was trying to say immediately, but he realized maybe he wasn’t all that clear about it.
“i thought of deleting it but…”
you knew. you knew exactly what he meant but at the same time, you were afraid.
what if that wasn’t what he was thinking? what if you were just jumping to conclusions because if he hadn’t liked you since before, why now?
“but…?”
but what?
what could he say?
that it was too beautiful for him to delete?
that you had been watering his garden of love for you for years and only to have the flowers bloomed in that miraculous of a moment because he was a blinded fool? that kuroo was right about him taking you for granted or that he owed that annoying male twenty bucks now because of it?
how could he express his feelings without actually saying them?
“you know…i got it. i mean, i think i got what you’re trying to say but…do you really?”
you placed the once treasured device next to you, eyes staring right back at the sea. and this time, wishing the waves could pull you back into the water as they retreated.
“i mean…of course i’d be happy to know that you finally saw me in a different light but, do you really?”
it was his turn to watch the waves crashing against the shore, and for him, he wished they would just drown out all of his hesitations.
“i—”
“do you really want something more?”
but what more could he ask for when you had always been enough for him. he was just too comfortable with your affection that he failed to realize how it was only meant for him.
“i—”
“are-are you sure it wasn’t just a spur of a moment? i don’t want to…you know…get my hopes up only to realize—”
he really was an idiot, wasn’t he?
the way you were trying so hard to make sure you didn’t accidentally slip those actual words out, the way you were trying to make sense of his own inability to string the right words.
“—you didn’t actually feel the same way.”
a pause. a beat. a shift in his gears.
“i thought of deleting it but…”
“i couldn’t do it.”
“i knew i—what?”
“because i finally realized the reason behind your every smile when you look through that tiny hole.”
you had seen the way kenma would light up whenever he bought a new game, or when he was playing volleyball with that new orange head of a friend.
and yet, you truly regretted letting go of that camera, for the smile tugging at the corner of his lips was slowly dying your cheeks crimson from the fondness you could gently feel.
“so…what’s the reason…?”
he mulled over the right words to say this time.
“you could really see a whole world through it.”
