CHARMEINE : charmeine doesn’t really feel bad for this, but she practically blackballed her own cousin, briar. not to say that briar is an innocent sweet angel, she’s done some bizarre things in her lifetime, but charmeine pretty much told everyone that knows briar about her alcohol and drug problems and that she ‘sleeps with everything that has a pulse.’ a lot of people think it was wrong of her to say those things, especially as a cousin, but she doesn’t truly feel any remorse for doing so.

MIKYUNG : mikyung is definitely more known for giving out tough love. if she loves you, she’s gonna tell you how it is. that’s just how she was raised. her mothers number one rule was no sugarcoating and she lives by that! it may’ve lost her some friends but she’s never gonna change. she believes no one’s ever gonna grow if you tell them that it’s okay all the time or coddle them. she’s the type to look at you and tell you to stand up when you’re sobbing in the bathroom. she pretends she’s okay with being on the receiving end of tough love when in reality she’s a baby. she doesn’t do coddling but she wants to be coddled. ironic.

MIKYUNG : although she barely even likes him as a person, mikyung never understood the hype around addy’s producing talent. she honestly hated when he produced for her group because his tracks were always the most mid and generic on the album. as for the opposite, she really is embarrassed to be apart of the bieber craze…she really dislikes justin bieber but she absolutely loves the music he made in 2013-2015. she wants to do a dance cover to one of them but lord knows she would rather eat a jean jacket whole than be labeled a belieber.

MIKYUNG : for mikyung, it differs but at the same time? it kinda doesn’t! when she makes a mistake toward someone in her everyday life, for example a friend or partner, she doesn’t actually apologize. her version of an apology is ordering food or buying the person something that she knows they’ve been wanting. you probably won’t ever hear the words: “i’m sorry,’ come out of mikyung’s mouth. if you do, look up to make sure the sky isn’t falling down on you. now, professionally, mikyung is quite deceptive. she can make a mistake and have some type of charm over whoever she needs to be apologizing to. she’ll bat her lashes, do a small but coy and sympathetic smile, and guilt trip the hell out of someone by beating down on herself in front of them a little.

MIKYUNG : simply put, she doesn’t! she gives the nastiest glares and pretty much let’s you know that she does not like you unless she can gain something from pretending to like you. she’s gonna side eye you and God forbid she’s with her members, she’s gonna keep giving them stares the whole time. and don’t let it be charmeine with her cause if looks could kill, consider them dead.
LONDON : oh as a pro feeling hider, london lies a lot! she lies and says that she’s “not mad,” that “she’s okay,” and that “everything’s gonna work out,” even when she’s scared out of her mind. she puts up that front that everything is all figured out and hopes that maybe if she keeps pretending she knows what to do all the time, she will know what to do all the time.

LONDON : she feels so bad for this, because she loves her, but she absolutely hates tana’s solo music. all the girls put out solo albums and even mikyung’s quirky record was oddly good to london’s ear, but tana just doesn’t have a talent when it comes to producing. she doesn’t have the heart to tell her that though. she gets the hate but she would never say that. on the contrary, london truly dislikes kyrie from ravana but she can’t deny that he’s a wizard when it comes to producing a great song. every time he steps in the studio she wants to strangle him but she loves everything he’s ever produced for them. she wishes that they could work together from a distance but she just has to put her pride aside every time!

LONDON : london tells people that she just wants this to last as long as possible. she wants what she and the girls have with each other to last forever and that’s what she really wants. she loves her members through and through. she’s truly never experienced friendship to this degree before and even though there’s a lot of crap that goes into it, she wouldn’t trade it for the world.

LONDON : another thing that she feels bad about, she still keeps in contact with her ex girlfriend/situationship because she’s kind of a big deal at jadore media, the closest person to the ceo cho jisoo. she knows it’s wrong but being with her is an extra guarantee that the pinkettes are granted a bit more lenience than the average jadore artist.

LONDON : as bitchy as she is, mikyung is a safe space for london. being one of the older members, london feels just the slightest bit more comfortable confiding in her when she’s not feeling like herself. obviously, she would prefer to hide her feelings from the girls but when she’s feeling like she’s bursting at the seams, she goes to mikyung’s room.

LONDON : london has mastered the art of hiding her emotions and not to be deceptive or anything. she just has taken her role as leader seriously. she never wants the girls to see her in a negative state because she doesn’t want that energy to rub off on them. she tries her hardest to stay neutral because things get rowdy in the dorms very often so she needs to stay calm and collected at all times to keep some sort of balance in the house. she’s like the most media trained idol ever it’s crazy.
TANA : tana is pretty much an open book and not really by choice either! whatever she feels is gonna show on her face immediately and she doesn’t really pick up on social cues too well so she just says stuff the way it pops into her mind, regardless of it’s the way she meant for it to come off or not. you can guess how that attribute landed in the media.
MIKYUNG : mikyung is probably the opposite of london. she’s mastered the art of hiding her emotions with the intent of being deceptive. she never tries to show when she’s angry or sad because she says it doesn’t come off as ‘graceful’ as she wants to come across. she hides her emotions mostly to get what she wants, using these skills to her advantage. on the other hand, when she isn’t getting any benefit from it, she’s gonna tell you how she feels!

LONDON : honestly, just the girls in general! genuinely she finds everything her members do funny. like there was one time on an interview where charmeine made a face at something that nelly said and london literally could not stop laughing, it was funny! really, charmeine’s facial expressions get her every single time. charmeine just makes the craziest and most perfectly timed facial expressions as reactions and london will eat it up every time.
TANA : something that always tickles tana’s funny bone is corny phrases that would probably be said mostly by dads or nerds. phrases like “no more mr. nice guy” or “oh brother” get her good. think of the bbl drake memes…she loves those.
MIKYUNG : anything that’s unintentional makes mikyung laugh. when one of her members falls, she laughs. they screw up a word, she laughs. there’s literally compilations of her laughing at her members’ fuck ups. (she does that with their personal life too.)
NELLY : nelly has the humor of twelve year old boy. ‘boy’ (with the cocked hand) jokes still make her laugh. a simple vine reference will make her crack up…everyone gets so annoyed because she finds the most cringe, outdated, and unfunny stuff hilarious. like imagine her showing you one of those Instagram reels that either your MOM or little tweenage brother would show you.

LONDON : london is like a mom everywhere, but especially at home. she’s more lax and in her element at home and has hobbies like that of an old woman. she’s pretty much the mom friend in all her friend groups, so she’s like this all-round.
TANA : tana is just as bubbly everywhere. she’s a chameleon, she fits in wherever and gets comfortable wherever she sees fit. there’s no real difference between her at home compared to out and about. she’s naturally in good spirits.
MIKYUNG : when she’s actually at home, she becomes way more of a people person. when she’s out and at events, she’s more on the quiet side, the one who just judges and reacts from the sidelines unless she’s spoken too. but at home she’s more talkative and comfortable. still bitchy, but she’s a nicer person in the comfort of her own home.

JANG MIJOO was born on February 20, 2000, in MOKPO, SOUTH KOREA to a religious family. She was raised with both her religion and school life as her top two priorities. However, during her childhood, she'd grown a love for singing. She would sing all the time, to the point the people around her would get annoyed of it. Though they couldn't deny that she had a beautiful voice. This is when her parents decided to make use of her talents by putting her in their services choir. Due to this, Mijoo and her family quickly became notable members of their church.
Although she enjoyed singing with her church, Mijoo saw something bigger for herself. She saw herself becoming a name that people would recognize. YING JIALI, formerly known as POPPY, was born on June 7, 2000, in Huangzhou, China, but moved to NEW YORK, where she resided in QUEENS. It’s one of Charmeine’s first off days in a while. She was expecting to make the most of it. She looked forward to it being any other casual Sunday where she lies in her bed with her hair tied into a messy bun, her glasses perched atop her nose as she snuggles into her blanket watching whatever sappy dramas on her laptop. That was all she was expecting to happen on this Sunday evening. Keyword: was.
Of course, there could never be a moment of peace with her and the people she chooses to spend her time with. It’s not too long before her door comes flying open and shut, revealing the figure of her boyfriend, Kyrie.
She gasps at his sudden arrival. “Oh, my God, Kyrie, what are you doing here?”
But before she can get an answer to that, her facial expression contorted into one of severe concern. She takes in his hunched over frame, where his fingers pressed at wounds that were littered over his face while his other hand occupied his abdomen.
“What the fuck happened? Are you okay?” Charmeine quickly lifts herself up from her bed and rushes to his side. He groans painfully as he practically throws himself onto her carpeted floor. She takes her slender finger and traces it over a fresh bruise that looks as though it’s been strategically placed underneath his eye. He moves his hand and lets her examine it, but winces when the pad of her finger grazes against it.
“Baby, what happened this time?” She asks once again.
He looks into her eyes as her hands move from wound to wound. “I’m okay.”
“You’re okay?” Charmeine repeats incredulously, her brows furrowing. “This isn’t okay, this is bad. You’re literally bleeding.”
“When am I not?” Kyrie sarcastically asks, a stupidly playful lilt to his tone. “I’m fine. Seriously, I’m fine.”
She hates how he doesn’t take anything seriously. He could be bleeding out in the middle of her bedroom floor and he would still brush it off as if it was nothing. He laughs and shrugs like she’s overreacting and she hates it. She wishes that he would be more careful but she knows that it’s not in his nature.
“Just tell me what happened.” Her eyes grow more pressing as she looks at him. Her hand goes to tenderly cup his face and he practically melts into her palm. Somewhere along the lines, his expression softens and he looks to the little space in between them. That once playful and careless demeanor is replaced by a sort of guilty look.
He doesn’t have to use his words for her to get a hint of what went down. She sighs.
“I’m sorry baby,” he says before even fessing. “I just wanted a little more money, you know? Just to be safe. Just to be secure.”
“Yeah, for your money to be secure but not you?” She scolds. “All of the money you have won’t matter if you’re dead.”
“Things just went a little left. Sometimes that happens but I’m okay. I got what I needed so I came here,” Kyrie explains, his voice hushed but oddly calm.
Whenever Kyrie was hurt or got into trouble it’s like his natural instinct was to go to Charmeine. No matter where he was, he always found himself knocking on Charmeine’s door. She was a safe space for him. She cared for him and she cleaned the blood off of his body when he did something stupid. She was like the mother of a primal animal, licking the wounds of her young once they returned from hunting their prey.
She was the first girl to be that person for him. She knows of all the things he’s done and has been into. And she’s the only one to treat him the same. Of course, naturally she wanted him to stop but she stayed even though he didn’t. Kyrie told her on multiple occasions that he would stop dealing drugs, that he would give up that life—especially once he was financially comfortable enough to do so but it was a hard feat for him. You can take him away from the environment but he will always find his way back.
“Kyrie, I worry about you. I don’t want anything to happen to you,” her voice grows whinier, tears beginning to swell in her eyes. She hates hearing herself sound like this. He probably hates it even more. “I don’t want to have to see you on the news because of this. I—I can’t have that happen to you, I can’t lose you, Kyrie.”
“I know, Charm. I’m sorry,” Kyrie apologizes.
“I don’t want you to cry about that, you don’t ever have to worry about me,” he says softly. “Let me worry about you. I’ve got it.”
“Can you just give it up? For me?” She asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
There’s a pause before he nods, blinking slowly. Both of them doubt his sentiments. He’s said that before and he’s gone a little time without it but he’ll be back. Charmeine doesn’t understand why he would want to return to a place that hurts him so much. A place that scarred him and took so much from him; So many people from him. He lifts his hand to touch her face but winces when it makes contact.
“Is your hand okay? Did you break something?” She anxiously questions. She takes his hand into hers, eyes scanning the flesh, turning it this way and that. She notices little scars littering the surface, both the back of his hand and his palm. She can tell that one of them is from hitting someone. She applies pressure to his pinkie and notices the way he flinches.
“Do you think you fractured it?” She questions.
He quickly shakes his head, fully enveloping her hand in his, preventing her from further inspecting it. “I’m okay, Charm.”
Charmeine smiles sympathetically at him once her eyes meet his. He leans in and places a gentle kiss on her lips, one that lingers for her. She gets up from the ground, looking down at him. “Do you have anything on you?”
Kyrie silently nods, almost immediately going to retrieve something from beneath his shirt and from tucked away in his pants.
He pulls out a gun in one hand and a stack of money in the other. Even though this has happened on more than several nights, seeing him brandishing a gun and knowing that he’s used it still makes her heart feel heavy. She still gets nervous dealing with all of it. But she knows he would never hurt her. And she knows that getting all worked up over it doesn’t help the situation at all. She’s learned to stifle them to the best of her ability. Besides, she doesn’t want to draw anymore attention to their escapades than the basis of it already has within the dorms. Her members have already got an idea of what’s going on with them and they've already questioned her about it before.
Charmeine grabs both of them and goes to her personal bathroom. She stuffs the money in a drawer, tucking it safely so it’s hidden from a looking perspective. She then grabs some rubbing alcohol and a towel and pours the strong smelling liquid onto the firearm. She wipes it down with a soft towel and then neatly tucks it in the cabinet underneath the drawer filled with cash. Next, she grabs another, thicker towel, a container of sterile water, and a handful of bandages.
She walks back into her room, where Kyrie is still sitting on her floor, his body carelessly strewn over her carpet and his eyes the slightest bit tired. She sits directly in between his legs, the warmth from her body so comforting he forgets that he has a heap of gashes over his usually soft skin.
When he’s with her, he forgets about everything. The world closes in on just those two, his mind loses sight of the fact that other things matter in the world. But in those moments, there is no other thing that matters. He has tunnel vision when he’s with Charmeine.
She takes the towel dipped in the sterile water and tenderly dabs at his face. She cleans him up and bandages the injuries. She takes her time making sure that everything is covered, working from underneath his eye, to his cheeks, and all the way down to his hands. She pulls his shirt over his head and she can’t help but notice how particularly hot he looks when he’s tired and just letting her take care of him.
She smiles to herself, which is something that doesn’t go unnoticed by Kyrie—who returns the favor. Even though he’s weaker than usual in this state, he can’t help but wrap his arms around her waist and squeeze her tight, pulling her close to his bruised chest. She giggled into the crook of his neck.
“I know all those battle scars are screaming for dear life right now,” Charmeine teases.
“I can’t even feel them,” he dismisses with a chuckle.
Kyrie sprinkles kisses all over Charmeine’s face. She immediately brightens at the tickling sensation, moving even closer into him, if that was even possible.
“I love you, you know that right?” He asks, his fingers playing with the hem of her white pajama shirt, some of the half-dried blood from his fingertip staining her top.
