Welcome Angels 🎀ᥫ᭡ one of my biggest role models and inspirations is Kimora Lee Simmons, clearly influencing the name of my blog, so of course i wanted to pay my respects and talk about what fabulosity is according to kimora and how to incorporate her laws to everyday life. their actually rlly helpful and fab so I will be making individual posts for each of the pillars going into more detail 🗒️💕

what is fabulosity? a state of everything that is fabulous. a quality ascribed to that which expresses glamour, style, charisma, power, and heart. Kimora emphasizes that it’s not about money, jewelry, or flashy clothes, but about your inner energy, confidence, ambition, and attitude. She also describes it as resilience, getting back up when you’re knocked down and continuing to succeed.

I’m Too Limitless ❤︎

I hate when people try to force logic or being “realistic” onto me. Like it’s not my fault ur small minded, boring, and pathetic. The universe is literally so limitless so therefore I have no limiting beliefs. Like hell yesss I could have a mansion, a $100,000, and a new appearance by tomorrow.

DREAM BIG, NO DESIRE IS IMPOSSIBLE ;

nothing is out of your reach. If you can imagine something or simply have the thought of it. Then it’s yours!! Nothing is too big, if anything it’s too small so go get what’s yours.

❤︎ Get Clear - when affirming what you desire you need to have a specific goal in mind. what is it that you want?

❤︎ Make a vision - after deciding what you want, make a VISION. do this through a vision board, pinterest board, or canvas collage. make it pretty, aesthetic, and related to want to want (obviously)!!

❤︎ You already have it - the ultimate key to manifesting is absolutely KNOWING, ACKNOWLEDGING, and ACCEPTING that you are already your dream girl or higher self. You have already completely and fully attained every single one of your dreams, goals, or wildest desires. So when affirming and persisting in your desire you already know that you’ve achieved it.

ALIGNED ACTION ;

once you decide that you are everything you could even dream of, you have to act like it. Every decision, action, or move needs to fall in alignment with what you’ve already decided is yours.

For example, if I decided I’m fabulous, rich, spoiled, and glamorous. So from the moment I wake up in the morning to the second I fall asleep at night, I move like a diva. There’s confidence and self assuredness in every step I take, my aura is unforgettable, I’m sweethearted, and I know that everything is in my favor (i could go on and on).

Therefore, I know what i want is already in my hands, so i act like it. Everything down to my routines, habits, and rituals match my “desired” lifestyle. If i want new friends and men to be obsessed with me then I affirm that, persist, and act as if it’s already mine no matter what i see or experience in reality bc I’ve decided what i have/want so now it’s for the 3d to catch up with my motion.

The Legacy of Victoria’s Secret

Due to my love for Victoria’s Secret clothes & products I wanted to take a deep dive into how the brand started, its impact, and their depiction of sexy and femininity & how this got the attention of many men, women and young girls!!

HOW IT STARTED ;

Victoria's Secret was founded in 1977 by Roy and Gaye Raymond, inspired by Roy's uncomfortable experience buying lingerie for his wife, to create a comfortable environment for men to buy underwear. He opened his first store in the suburbs of San Francisco in 1977 and named it “Victoria’s Secret”. The idea turned out to be successful. In the first year, the store generated $500,000 thanks to its unique approach. By 1982, the owner had opened six stores. Raymond also launched catalog sales, which was a form of mail-order sales long before online stores became popular. The annual income reached $6 million.

So What Happened?

However, not everything went smoothly. Despite the company’s growth Roy faced financial difficulties, which led him to sell his brand. The buyer was Leslie Wexner, Wexner saw potential in the brand & he acquired it, but he immediately deviated from the original concept, focusing on the female audience.

In the following years, Victoria’s Secret rapidly expanded. Market capitalization and the number of stores worldwide grew. Catalog sales continued. In 1998, the brand introduced a concept called the ‘angels’ of Victoria’s Secret. Their regular fashion shows became incredibly popular, and everyone became familiar with Victoria’s Secret. It was no longer just about lingerie.

Enter the fun and flirty stores filled with bras and underwear in bright, bold colors. By the early ‘90s, the brand’s success soared to new heights, and was the “largest lingerie retailer in the US.

Calling All Angels ;

You know when you walk into a Victoria's Secret store and you immediately see full-sized posters of Candice Swanepoel or Adriana Lima? Well, these were just two of many Victoria's Secret Angels, or the faces of the brand. The Angel era officially kicked off in the late '90s and continued all the way until 2019, when VS decided to rebrand.

What’s better than diamonds? Diamond-dripped lingerie. The Fantasy Bra was created in 1996, and model Claudia Schiffer was the first to start the tradition of wearing the million dollar (often times more) bra. The multi-million dollar tradition continued on through the years with many supermodels like Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, and Gisele Bündchen, getting to wear the bra of all bras. This is another VS made extreme profit.

PINK Is Launched ;

PINK, a sub-brand of Victoria's Secret, launched on October 16, 2002, with a full roll-out by July 2004, aiming to attract high school and college-aged women with its more casual, loungewear-focused products rather than the main brand's sexier image. The brand was introduced as a way to capture a younger demographic and offered products like sweatpants, bras, dorm goods, and other apparel.

But, Despite the glitz and glamour of the Fantasy Bra and some of the world's most beautiful women, the brand's sales started to decrease between 2016 and 2018. Up until then, the brand had been thriving.

Impacts ;

Negative:

- The brand's advertising and fashion shows were built on a hypersexualized, male view of women, reducing feminism to individual consumption and emphasizing physical perfection over authentic self-expression.

- The iconic "Angels" represented a narrow, monolithic ideal of thin, white, and young women, which was in stark contrast to the emerging feminist goal of body positivity and inclusivity.

- the negative impacts eventually led to feminist critics and a wave of feminism. Leading to the adoption of more inclusive brands.

Positive:

- Through partnerships with prominent figures, Victoria's Secret aims to inspire and empower women to pursue their passions and drive positive change

- The company supports women's health initiatives, including funding research for women's cancers and promoting breast cancer awareness.

- The brand's marketing and product lines are evolving to be more inclusive, aiming to make women feel more comfortable and confident in their own bodies.
