a smirk curled onto bradley’s lips just before he bowed his head, allowing his lips to press against her neck. he began to leave delicate kisses along the blonde’s lips, trailing down to her collarbones and chest. “i can do that for you,” he murmured against her warm flesh as he continued to hold her wrists together. “i just want you to feel good and let go of everything, baby.” he wet his lips as he pulled back slightly. “if i let go of your hands will you be a good girl and lay still for me?”
goosebumps formed across delores’ skin as she felt bradley’s lips trail along it, allowing herself to surrender into his touch. “that’s all i’ve ever wanted.” her reply was breathy as she nodded her head at his question. “i promise i’ll be good, daddy. i won’t move. just please… i need you to touch me.” she was never one to beg, but she would do anything for him. anything to get a reaction and push him to devour her.

“that’s because in those moments you are my favourite, heidi. i’m not just saying it to kiss your ass like everyone else.” a soft sigh followed cecelia’s words as her gaze flickered away from the other. “but, if i remember correctly… you’re the one who wanted to keep this all casual. so what do you expect from me? i try my best to detach myself from you whenever we’re in public so that i don’t get jealous.”
that was the real problem here: heidi didn’t know what she wanted out of this relationship. she had tried her best to set the ground rules, but now she was starting to feel as if they didn’t suit her shifting desires. “i know that i’m the one who wanted to keep things casual, you don’t have to remind me.” she snapped. “but… i guess that detachment makes me feel like you don’t actually want me. like you’re just using me to get off and nothing more.” she let out a sigh. “i don’t want to only feel needed when we’re fucking.” she knew that she was completely contradicting herself, but at least she was being transparent for once.
“broken me down?” a loud scoff followed fleur’s words as she scanned over jeremiah’s features for a moment. “i’m not sure whether to accuse you of giving yourself far too much credit or thinking i’m far weaker than i actually am.” she wet her lips, arms folding tightly across her chest. “i can promise you that if i thought being with you was bad for me, i would’ve left already.” as confident as she sounded, she wasn’t sure if that statement held as much truth as she hoped it would.
an emotionless laugh left jeremiah as he shook his head slightly. “i don’t think you’re weak at all, fleur. i just know that most people in my past have gotten far too close to me only to get burned in the end.” while he could admire her tenacity, he couldn’t help but view it as nothing more than foolishness. “would you really be able to leave me so easily if you knew that i wasn’t good for you anymore?” he tilted his head. “because honestly, i don’t think it would be as easy as you make it sound.” though maybe that was just his wishful thinking.
“yeah? doesn’t really seem like you’ve been trying hard enough to get me alone.” a smirk curled onto vanya’s lips as he tilted his head to the side in a coy manner. “i’ve been doing anything and everything to get your attention, and nothing really seemed to be good enough — until now. did you reach your limit, or did i just make it too easy to corner me?”
“not trying hard enough?” mock offense rang out in garrett’s voice as he tilted his head to the side. “i was just trying my best not to come off as too desperate. that’s usually a turn off, is it not?” he tilted his head to the side before stepping forward and boxing vanya in with his arms, his hands pressed against the wall behind him. “besides… i think you like this little game of cat and mouse to be dragged out.”
“i…” alexander found himself opening and closing his mouth as words seemed to fail him for the first time in his life. “you know that i don’t actually hate you, right?” it shouldn’t have been a difficult thing for him to admit. “i feel like if anyone should be apologizing here, it should be me. i’m fearful that marrying me will tarnish your reputation in irreparable ways, and that’s far worse than stealing someone’s fate.”
hearing alexander admit that he didn’t actually hate him had been something jareth was desperate to hear, but now that he was hearing those words he was almost struck with disbelief. his eyebrows drew together in confusion as he shook his head. he reached for the prince’s hand and took it into his own, giving it a tentative squeeze. “you think that i truly care about my reputation, alexander?” he scoffed. “i know that you’ve had to deal with your family disowning you and casting you out, but i would never do the same to you. when we wed, you will be mine… and i always protect what is mine.” he raised the blond’s hand to his lips and placed a soft kiss upon the top of it. “i just want you to be honest with me in return. is that too much to ask for? no more pretending you hate me or trying to push me away.”
lola hated how transparent her behaviour seemed to be from wednesday’s point of view, her lips pursing slightly in response to being called out by the other. “i don’t know.” she answered honestly, her shoulders falling slightly. “i’ve just never felt as if i’ve ever had any control over anything in my life, so i’m constantly searching for that. something that makes me feel as if i’m not as powerless in my own life.” she confessed, her eyes falling toward her lap. “but maybe you’re right, maybe i’m worrying about the wrong things.”
“see… but that’s where you’ve gone wrong in your thinking.” wednesday pointed her finger in the other’s direction as an interjection. “you’ve been searching for control of your life through worrying. but worrying about things that are out of your control or making a big deal about them isn’t going to help you in the end.” she explained, her tone becoming more gentle as she went on. or at least as gentle as her usual deadpan tone could convey. “you need to begin to find ways to regain that control and act upon it. the only way you’re going to feel power return to you is by taking it. reclaim it as yours.” she wasn’t ever good at encouraging others, but there was something about lola that made her want to try.
“jealous? you’ve felt jealous toward me…? whatever for?” there was a hint of disbelief in meg’s voice as she rolled over onto her side, her eyes scanning over harper’s features for a moment. “if anything, i should be the one jealous of you.” her lips pursed into a thin line. she was purposefully not addressing the second half of the other woman’s confession.
a laugh spilled from harper as she rolled onto her side just as meg did, the two face-to-face with one another suddenly. “you think i have anything worth being jealous over? oh, darlin’, you really are delusional.” she teased. “it’s not so much that i was jealous of you, but more like i was jealous over everyone who has your attention. i’m always left struggling trying to come up with new excuses to get it.” she wet her lips. “you have no idea just how desperate you make me, do you?”
"of course i'll still love you," lee said as the sat down with the other and cupped her face in his hands. "why would you say that? you'll always beautiful."
tears welled in isidore’s eyes as she leaned into lee’s touch as she shook her head slightly. “i don’t know…” her words trailed off. “i just feel like i don’t have much to offer you in general. i’m afraid that when all my luck or beauty runs out, you’ll start looking for someone that is more on your level.”
tears shone in conrad’s eyes as his gaze remained focused on the trembling hands that remained in his lap. “i don’t want to burden you, niall… i’ve always been too much for everyone. i don’t want you to take on all my problems just for them to break you down the road. i—i couldn’t do that to you.” his voice wavered slightly as he spoke.
niall’s features softened as he reached to cup conrad’s face in his hands in an attempt to connect their gazes. “just because people in your past have made you feel like you’re too much doesn’t mean that you are. i care about you, conrad. your problems are my problems. you don’t have to worry about them breaking me down or anything like that.” he tried his best to reassure him. “i can handle more than you think.” his thumbs gently brushed across conrad’s cheeks. “let me take care of you. let me show you how much i love you.”

a soft sob fell from ahyi’s lips as she reached for the other’s hand, giving it a tiny yet desperate squeeze. “no… don’t say that. you’re the best thing that’s happened to me, azriel. i would happily suffer through every hardship we’ve faced together if it meant having you by my side forever.” her teeth sank into her bottom lip as she tried her best to keep the tears that had welled up in her eyes at bay. “i love you; i choose you over everything. does that not mean anything?”
“the best thing that’s ever happened to you? ahyi… do you even hear yourself?” tears lined azriel’s own eyes as he saw the tears that had welled in hers. “i leave destruction in my wake. all of those hardships you’ve suffered through because of me were what i would’ve considered to be narrow misses. if something bad had happened to you and i wasn’t able to save you, i would never be able to forgive myself.” his voice cracked slightly. “your love means more to me than anything in this world, but that doesn’t mean that i believe it’s something i’m worthy of.” he used his free hand to cup her cheek. “i love you, ahyi. i really do. but i’m not good for you. what can i do or say to convince you of that without breaking you?”
"that's not enough," he said, a quiet pause taking ahold of him momentarily. "i want you love me beyond that. i want to look forward to your ghost."
a breathy chuckle escaped mingze as he looked the other over. “you’re so greedy. you want my heart even in the afterlife?” he joked. “you can have my being forever. not even death will be able to separate us. i will claw my way back to you however i possibly can.” these were just flowery words meant to appease mathieu; it was a promise.
