i wrote something for the first time in about a week or two. be proud of me. i will try to do it again after i eat.

"oh yeah?" miles replied with a smile. "egyptian cotton will satisfy you?" teasing tone was evident but he was seriously contemplating it if it meant more mornings like this. it wasn't a secret how much he liked her, how she truly felt about him was a different story. he did his best not to push for fear that she'd box his out completely. so for now he'd take what he could get. "ya know, i think this is the first time we've ever truly cuddled." he spoke honestly. "it's nice." looking down at her as she laid on his chest, his fingers still tracing shapes on her hip.

"Mhm." Simple as that in her mind. Just a little upgrade on his part, and he'd get her around more and more. That's all it would take, right? To keep away the crippling anxiety? She sure hoped so as a soft sigh welled up inside of her. His voice rumbled deeply within her ear as she cradled against his chest, and she smirked before rolling her eyes gently at his words. "Yeah yeah, I'm sure it is." It was to be honest, but she couldn't be so forthcoming with her thoughts. At least not yet. After a beat though, she did give him something. "That tickles ... don't stop."

« YES, » SHE REPLIES SIMPLY, because showing him her secret exit may just be insanity. but by now she figures silas has learned that no is not a word in ginny's vocabulary. keeping her locked up in here will only cause them both to lose their minds. « i do not believe you truly want to know, ser, » she adds with a smile, swinging one leg over the windowsill, finding grip for her foot on the castle wall. she could climb this in her sleep, probably has. as she decends and her feet find the grassy ground beneath her. she tilts her head up to gaze at silas, the look on his face enough to make her chuckle. « are you coming ? »

Perhaps she was right. Maybe it was best that he didn't know. But now that he knew it existed, he'd be more likely to stop it in the future. For now however, he was locked in to doing this thing and thusly he was forced to watch as she scaled the wall. With ease perhaps, a practiced air to her moves but it did nothing to quell his inner unease. It was only when she questioned him did he follow, and although he didn't have as much grace as she, he did manage to land next to her with nearly a silent thud. With a huff, he turned towards her and placed a gentle hand against the small of her back. A move strictly meant to gain her attention and keep it. "We're taking my horse ... come on."

"You were amazing tonight." It's been said before, it'll be said again. But all in all, Bea always means it. There was just something so magical about seeing him up on that stage. Especially after she had been up there first, and there's still that sought after high laced within her veins from everyone screaming for her. Some stars didn't like to share the lime light - but for her? Sharing it with him? Well, it just felt natural. And now they were cozied up in the tour bus for the night and while her ears were still ringing a little bit, the silence was more than welcomed. "Got the girls goin a little crazy though with that dedication on your last song. You know they're already tryin' to figure it out."

“That? Nah, that’s just a consequence of my job. Paul’s not going to be the last person who’s unhappy with one of my stories, he’s sure as shit not the first. I’ll deal with that particular headache in the morning. I’ve got someone I’d much rather spend the evening with right here.” He grinned offering his arm to her. Soon the pair were out the bar, strolling the city streets. “You know, I’m still pretty new to this city. Outside of my apartment, my job and your bar, I don’t actually know that many places.” At least not many places he’d want to take her. Unless she finds the corridors of city hall, a dozen dirty little hotels were most of his stories seem to start and a bunch of other unsavoury locations he frequents to pick up leads, charming then he’s not got too many ideas as to how their evening might go. “I heard that there’s ice skating in the park? Can you skate? You know I’m suddenly just realising that I don’t actually know that much about you.” He chuckled.

All the time spent flirting with her in the bar, he’s never actually asked her much about herself. Maybe he’d just been trying to keep their dynamic light and breezy, maybe he’d was afraid that if he tried to pry she’d resist and disconnect. But tonight there was no real reason to hold back. “You native to the city or did you come from elsewhere like me?” He got a vibe that she was born and bred here but maybe that’s just a result of how much she makes him feel settled.

"Mm, well lucky for you, it's hot so ... " There was no need to explain that one. At least not in her mind, because honestly? She wasn't even sure she'd be able to if he asked. There was just something appealing to her about the fact that he dealt with that kind of shit with so much grace. She never really saw him blow up at anyone, even when they came at him many of the nights that he spent at her bar. It was seemingly never ending and yet, he kept at it. The perseverance was perhaps the attractive quality but Preston didn't feel the need to decipher that one and thankfully he moved on quickly enough. Arm looped gently with his as they fell into a rhythm besides one another and the girl smiled to herself before looking around at the city.

Night time had always been her favorite, even if that is when the unsavory characters came out to play. Though it did somewhat limit what they could do together, and as he seemed to fumble with an idea she truly did think he was just going to suggest his home. Perhaps that wouldn't be so bad. Hell, she might not even give him shit for it if he did - but in the end? Nope. He thought of something else. Something that made her chuckle before she could truly stop it. "Ice skating?" Eyes blinked up at him before she smiled wider and nodded softly. "Yeah sure, that sounds great." It did seem a little silly to her for some reason, as she hadn't been expecting it but it could be fun. And it wasn't really something she ever got to do on her own. "Been a minute since I've been on the ice, but I'm sure you won't let me fall."

Nudging him playfully, Preston thought about his question briefly before shaking her head. "Not native really, but I did move here when I was just ten so ... formative years were all here." No one ever really asked about her, unless they were just trying to get her number. It felt strange, but in a good way and thus she relaxed against his side and gently lent into him as they continued to walk.

IT'S NOT GONNA LAST. it's always the same with kace and whatever relationships he pursues — they ultimately always fall apart, too much distance proving too big of a challenge. whatever they've had until now has been working because there have been no strings. breakfast seems like strings though, and yet kace doesn't even feel fear spark at the suggestion. « what a coincidence, so can i, » he chuckles, pecking her lips quickly. « i will perform better after breakfast though. you'll be surprised what pancakes can do to a man. »

"Hmm, you mean you're not ready to ravage me at a moments notice so early in the morning?" Buffy hummed softly against his lips before leaning back in for another peck. Yeah, they were being too soft right now but she couldn't bring herself to stop. "Musta fucked you harder than I thought I did last night." With a playful nip to his bottom lip, the blonde finally pulled back and propped herself up onto her elbows. Still hovering over him, but less skin to skin contact. A shame really, but they had to eventually get up in the end. "Well let's get these magic pancakes going I guess."
