sometimes i think maybe i should go on antidepressants because this near constant up and down can be exhausting and terrifying but i don’t know what i’d do without the ups the ups are what makes everything worth it its like the peak of a rollercoaster and the feeling of free fall the absolute elation that really should only accompany something enormous like a life changing job offer or being proposed to by the person you’re in love with but i almost microdose this intense euphoria on the regular and sometimes that makes experiences that i should enjoy feel underwhelming because why do i feel restless and only regular happy on a night out with my friends i’ve been looking forward to for weeks when they’re playing my favourite song when i felt probably the strongest joy and excitement you can feel the other day from the implication that somebody thinks positively of me but honestly i don’t think i could go without it anyway

Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.

It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.
