The control ward, that replaced the vision ward, is red. It's a red ward now, not a pink ward anymore. I think that's what the other anon meant.
Yes, we understand what the anon meant! It’s just that “pink ward” was a reference from the removed Vision Ward, and the term “pink ward” is more well-known among a number of players. We have yet to hear many players, including pro players, call the control ward as a “red ward”.

Thank you for keeping the opportunity open instead of cancelling the zine <3 Also I really appreciate all the rules and guidelines you've set for it, and how nicely structured everything is tbh i'm overall just DELIGHTED it exists, and now I have extra time to work on my portfolio before submissions lol anyways!! We didn’t want to see all the effort gone into starting this project go to waste, so we thought we’d move it to another date instead. Thank you for your interest in Pink Ward District! We do plan to adjust the rules and guidelines to allow more accessibility for slightly younger artists to apply, since we’re technically not an 18+ zine.
We’ll be making a post about it sometime around autumn while League of Zines is working on Rosaria!

Hi anon! After looking things up, we couldn’t find any updates of any wards being called a “red ward”. We based the name “Pink Ward District” on the (now removed) Vision Ward, aka the “pink ward” for its ability to let teams see invisible champions. We had thought of Red Ward District, but we didn’t feel it would make a good reference to the ward we were thinking of.

Hello everyone!
We noticed there won't be enough applications by the set deadline, so we will be pushing the official date of Pink Ward District to winter. We apologize for the inconvenience that this may have caused to any of the applicants. We thank those who have applied to this zine, but there just isn't enough to look through to gather a full team yet.
In the meantime, mod bekkomi and mod rosymiz will be readjusting a few requirements for Pink Ward District such as the schedule and rules for future applicants! Unfortunately, mod tokio is no longer a mod due to life circumstances, so this will now be a League of Zines project and not a collaboration project between League of Zines and Tokio Zines.

Nope it’s not required. You can draw whatever characters you like. Please check out the rules page since it have all of the do and do not draws ^^
I've read the rules, and I've understood the part in which you say Ezreal and Lux are not allowed in a sexually implied art. My question, before applying, is: are ships art with one of them implied not allowed too? Or does it depend on the context?
Yes, ship arts of those two with any sexual implications are not allowed. You can still draw ship art with those two but think more, obligated anime beach episode level.

Hey all! After looking at the flow of applications, we may or may not be running into a problem. There isn’t as much interest in applying for the Pink Ward District zine as we thought, and the dates happen to overlap with another zine that mod bekkomi and I are running. So we’re starting to consider our remaining options. We’ll be watching the amount of applications coming in over the next week.
If we can’t meet the quota, we will be pushing the overall date for Pink Ward District to another time. If we do end up pushing the date and you’ve applied to Pink Ward District already, no need to apply again. We’ll only keep applications closed temporarily, but everyone’s info will still be there!

This is my first time applying and I was wondering if you were supposed to have ideas drawn up in your application? Especially after the last ask aha :P also I linked my Instagram as well because I use that more? Is that okay?
No, you don’t need to have your ideas drawn up. Think of it more like a portfolio. You want to show us what you got and what your best works are. That way, we know what your best skill level is at!
And yes, Instagram is just as fine!
when we send in applications do we only send in our finished piece for the zine or do we just send in our personal art?
Though we prefer League of Legends artworks, it’s completely fine to also send in personal works! But we highly recommend that you send in artworks that have been completed. No sketches, WIPs, and the such.
Hi! In your rules you mention that there won't be any "bodily fluids" allowed. Would that include minimal amounts of blood - for example if someone, hypothetically, were to draw Jhin; would some blood, within reason, be allowed?
Heyooo! Depending on the context behind the blood (We forbid anything that can be interpreted as abusive of course), we will allow minimal amounts of blood. Excessive blood and gore is a no-no, of course. So if you keep it light, it should be fine.You’ll most likely have to get the prompt through us first, should you be accepted into the zine! ^^
I suppose you can refer to how League of Legends keeps that kind of stuff light and minimal in their splash arts!
I'm currently 17 but in less than 2 months I'll be turning 18 can I apply or do you recommend me not to? I was really looking foward it bc it seemed like a really nice concept ;;
Hello! Unfortunately we would like all applicants to be 18+ before production starts to be fair. If this zine is successful enough we may have a second one for you to apply for in the future. Thank you for taking interest!
In regards to the last ask, I understand you have adults drawing, but then are you saying you're selling to minors? Because my concern was demographic-wise, if you're selling only to adults you're limiting yourself, and at that rate might as well make it porn, but if you intend to sell it to minors, idk how many kids parents are going to let them buy pin up mags. And 17+ and 18+ doesn't really make a difference demographic-wise, either they're adults or minors. It just doesn't make much sense
-Demographic wise, R17 in our definition is borderline, where sexual activities can be implied but not in action.
-We don't intend to sell this zine to minors, but we have no way to track who's a minor or not.-Should the event that a minor manages to buy the zine, keeping the zine lower than R18 will not evoke legal troubles/cases.
- In addition we will be adding in a rating and a note inside that whoever buysthe product have full responsibility over purchasing and ownership of the zine.
-We would also like to minimize any future issues during and after pre-orders as much as possible, hence our choice of keeping the zine R17 with artists of the age 18+. We hope you understand

We greatly appreciate the sentiment and we understand where you’re coming from, so we’d like to emphasize that this zine is focused on safe, consensual expressions of sexuality.
As can be read on our about and rules pages, it’s important to us that unsafe or even doubtful situations where any of the characters seem uncomfortable or coerced by either another character or even the viewer are strictly forbidden (no BDSM from one character to another, no bodily fluids, no underage or even age-ambiguous characters in sexual situations, etc. etc.). This is a classical pin-up zine, not a hentai/porn zine.
Sexual education can refer to learning about sex biologically, but sexual education encompasses so much more than that - including learning about consent, sexuality, and sexual expression. We chose to donate to this charity because those are all important concepts we wished to show positively in our zine through art and consequently through the restrictions we’ve put on it for safety. Again, we are aiming for positive sexual expression through classical pin-ups, not through expressed sexual acts! :)

I gotta ask, why make the zine 18+ if you can't draw anything sexual? It kinda defeats the purpose when you remove anything 18+ from a zine that's demographic is only adults.
Please understand that League of Legends, as a rather large community, also has minors creating content and whatnot. That being said, there was a miscommunication regarding the rating of the zine. If anything, Pink Ward District is R17 at most but looking for artists 18 years and older for legal reasons.
… It makes 0 sense to outlaw all kinks but still allow for bdsm. That's a kink.
Please read the rules again. We specified that we are allowing bdsm ATTIRE, not the act. Our aim for the artworks in this zine to be tasteful pin ups much like sakimichan’s censored artworks or 1940s pin up girls.
