DON'T ASK YOURSELF "AM I A GOOD PERSON?" ASK YOURSELF "IS WHAT I AM DOING GOOD?" OR EVEN! "WHAT'S A GOOD THING I CAN DO RIGHT NOW?"
DON'T WORRY ABOUT JUDGING AND SORTING YOURSELF! JUST MAKE YOUR BEST CHOICES!!
Ok but pls actually do this people. There is no such thing as a good person. Stop trying to be one and starting trying to do good instead
“start your free trial now” what if i told u i am already experiencing trials. and the cost is more than i can bear
I know I saw someone's post about this last week but the Soldiers ending growing closer as a group and the Seekers fracturing more as the episodes go on is so fun to watch.
Vaelus is following Occtis in hopes that his miraculous nature had a profound meaning that will give her the answers she seeks, but perhaps she has mistaken from where that miracle arises.
Critical Role Campaign 4 has many core themes, one of which is hope and faith in a world where such things seem impossible. For the Soldiers, Wick very obviously represents the power of a faith even when everyone around them doubts. Although his powers literally come from his bloodline and not his faith, in a truer sense… do they really? Wick manifests miracles of the sun god come again. Is this only because of his blood? Or is there something more profound at play? Is it more miraculous that Wick has wings or that he made a demon believe in love and redemption?
It’s not just Tyranny who is affected. By the end of their journey, all Soldiers, even Thimble, feel somehow compelled by Wick. They all start to believe that maybe a better world is possible, maybe there is something inherently good in every person, maybe after loss upon loss there is still a chance to dream of better.
Similarly we come to the question why did Occtis return to his body after his soul was sundered? Vaelus guessed it is something miraculous about him. But Occtis would have walked the path if Thaisha had not called to him. If she did not go against the teachings of her own faith acting on her belief in something deeper within herself, a feeling, a love more powerful than the bonds of the natural world.
Thaisha believes in fate. More than she is follower of the Path, she goes her own way, following her own relationship with the world and how she feels it call to her. Vaelus and she both feel fate calling them together when she arrives at the Palazzo.
When Occtis tells the scholar she is chasing shadows and the prophecy she is following has already come to pass long ago, Thaisha feels this to be wrong. She believes in fate and profoundly has faith that this woman is meant to be there and is meant to fulfill this prophecy even though logically that cannot be the case. And yet… the woman has a divine oracular vision. The doctor says Taisul wrongly predicted his death at the hands of his brother but Thaisha remarks that his fall was indeed brought about by his brother’s acts. Thaisha, despite believing that the Gods needed to die, is the only person we see who believes that this is not a throwing off of fate but perhaps was always meant to be.
Vaelus is right that there is something divine and miraculous moving upon the world. But I believe she is looking in the wrong direction. It is not Occtis who has altered the world divinely. It is Thaisha Lloy. If she wishes to understand how a God can live, she must look to the hands that killed them.
life could be so much easier if i could oscillate between a pussy and a dick at will but im sure many people feel this way
just found out in medieval france, having a lion on your coat of arms was so prevalent that there was literally a colloquial proverb to clown on knights for being basic and not having a real coat of arms. the hate game was so strong back then. imagine medieval hate anons
“those without a coat of arms wear a lion” insane. if i was about to joust with some guy and he said that to me i would just quit. bro already won
@mask131
Wow, I didn't know that!
That’s a heraldic insult. It’s devastating. You’re devastated right now.

These dice rolls certainly aren't helping his case either.

so sexy to have revenge mechanics. sooooo sexy that Julien half-dead can go apeshit on the man who wronged him. haha is that blood on your face or are you just so full of anger to see him.
Orcs: Okay, we made a sword, the humans are using magic staves, the elves have...one arrow? Halflings, what are you doing to kill your god?
Halflings: We're gonna put on the best talent show Araman's ever seen.
