Since one of the bigger fandom servers Fanimaniacs was archived, I should note that a lot of folks have simaltaneously been leaving Gay Mice Crusade due to their security issues. And yes, Iâm putting this in the main tags as a warning.
TL;DR: I donât think GMC is safe, because the breech of privacy on the adult side alone has caused so much suffering and I donât want to imagine what that lack of security could do to the minors-only channels. In hindsight I can say this was never a good system for anyone involved.

I canât speak for the minors-only channels, but the private 18+ channels were breeched in bad faith. Specific users were stalked, harassed, and taken out of context off-platform⌠for relatively tame BrainxPinky art? And if a breech on the adult side is that easy, the minorsâ side is likely just as vulnerable.
Just beware there are rumors about that server, some might be credible given the poor modding, but most have been completely fabricated to hurt people. I didnât receive the bulk of this harassment, but I know for a fact people like Mage and Pluto arenât âposting p*rn in a fandom for kids uwuâ or whatever weird angle these haters choose to take. By that logic you might as well cancel the voice actors for making crude jokes at *gasp* public conventions!!!
(Clarifying: Pluto wasnât in GMC, her rumors were based on a private 18+ patreon tier, because god forbid anyone draws adult characters in adult situations for other adults.)
What is a problem is minors repeatedly lying about their age and then sharing explicit material with other minors for the âgreater goodâ or something (assuming the people sending that are minors and not lying about that too). Youâre allowed to be uncomfortable with certain things, youâre allowed to curate your fandom experience, but you donât get to twist the truth to make your being uncomfortable some moral high ground and make everyone else out to be dangerous individuals, especially when those others have gone out of their way to cater to the boundaries set. None of the above justifies sending p*rn to kids, youâre the only ones intentionally doing that. To everyone else, this is your cue to unfollow if you think thatâs acceptable in any situation.
As Iâve said before, if you do see explicit material in a space it shouldnât be, either report it or ask the person to take it down if you think thereâs been a misunderstanding.
This is why I need a break from social media. None of this is healthy and Iâm reaching a limit here.
I have largely kept out of this, how you say, discourse, because this blog is a place for love and beauty. But there comes a point that even I, Pinky Suavo, must add my own two cents.
You must respect the boundaries set by others and not venture into spaces clearly marked not for you. The people in those spaces have not consented to your presence and it is a violation for you to be there. All this needless anger and hate is drowning out the positivity and love that should be present among fellow fans. It breaks my heart to see such things.
All of this is very serious. The creation of adult content is not the problem, it is how the boundaries surrounding it are treated.
