Marked safe from jury duty for 6 years. What an absolute waste of time that was.

What happened?

Everyone was in the court room around 9, paperwork was turned in, and we watched a couple videos to onboard. We proceed to sit there for for an hour and 15min while the parties involved were arbitrating wherever they were.

The judge and stenographer appear out of nowhere, we are acknowledged, thanked for being there, promptly dismissed because the case was resolved.

Complete waste of 20 peoples morning.

Exact same thing happened to me once.

I also got a whole jury pool dismissed one time. That was a fun waste of a day 😂

I'd've been much more okay with the situation if they waited like another 20-30min because at least I wouldn't've had to wait 45min for any restaurant to open for lunch lol. I already avoid going there like the plague outside of hockey games because parking is atrocious.
