A fierce Era 1 gem stuck in her archaic ways. She served the Blue Court for milennia, terraforming innumerable planets in the quest to expand the Gempire's influence throughout the cosmos. During her expeditions, she slowly became more fond of planets and their life. Being a Lapis, however, studying foreign planets was out of the question. She frequently consulted her Diamond for approval, but was always met with rejection. She was eventually imprisoned for her disturbance before being released back to her Lapises. Frustrated with the confinement of her role, she abandoned her duties and sought to explore the universe on her own. Although her water wings allowed for her to move more swiftly and freely than most other ground-bound gems, it was not enough to traverse the galaxies. That was when she had the idea to hijack a gem warship, taking the other gems inside with her. The overseeing Covellite was furious and sent out orders to poof and detain her before deciding on a fitting punishment. After a lengthy interstellar chase, a clash between the warship and Covellite's fleet sent Cyrene plummetting into Earth's atmosphere. Eventually, Covellite's gems stopped pursuing her and she continued to take refuge in this strange, new planet. For milennia she travelled the globe, watching the emergence of humanity closely. She spent a lot of her time in the Mediterranean during the reign of many ancient civilizations which often led to being mistaken for a water nymph among many other folklore figures. Over time Cyrene would slowly integrate herself into humanity, tolerating it enough to develop relationships and navigate their world.
