fic idea: what if f1 did an actors on actors-esque interview series (drivers on drivers)? lestappen having their freak4freak conversations about how driving gets them hard in ways nothing else will. maxplaining and leclerifying on record for 40 whole minutes. a voyeuristic window into charles' praise kink meeting max's competency kink.

years from now, when they've both won the WDC, they reflect on their efforts and struggles.

max: "you drove your heart out in AD 2025."

charles: "it was such a difficult season. but yes... [describes how ferrari finally got their shit together in the era of new regulations🙏]"

and they somehow end up crawling into each other's laps by the end of it and making out.

I'm not sure if anyone is going to read this, but I'm working on something and even if it's not finished, I want to share a little with you.

Charles was lying in his bed, he should be getting ready, but it was impossible...not with that image in his head. That smile, those blue eyes, and blond hair. All those things made his heart race, and smile like a kid with a new toy. He wishes that he had woken up with him by his side, if only he didn't need to take that plane. Who decided to start the tour today? It was his fault, but when he made that decision he hadn't met him yet. Which felt like a past life, he couldn't imagine his life as it was before meeting him. Every moment he passes with him the time slowed down. They could just stare at the ceiling and talk about nothing at all and it was going to be perfect. When he looked at him the words left his mind, he just stared at him and appreciated the view. If you had told Charles that he was going to fall in love with a boy in a streaming program, he would have laughed at you. Mostly for that horrendous break up that he had a few months ago, that led him to choose to be single for some time, but nothing went as he planned, Charles met Max and his world changed completely, his world changed upsidedown, but in a good way.

I find it funny how Norris fans think verstappies hate Norris for no reason lol.

Your driver has been shading Max since last year after he finally got the taste of a win. He talked trash about max several times, his little dig that maybe y'all don't remember but verstappies do.

Let me not get started at the name calling and saying Max is a dangerous driver. Saying to the press how his friendship with Max is done if he doesn't apologize.

Then again his silly comments this year about Max in Miami, which even Oscar was weirded out.

So no verstappies don't hate that man for no reason, there's so much to not like about him. Max is just a better person and that's why he's tolerating him and respecting whatever friendship they still have left.

But also thankfully if you realise, it seems Max is realising he deserves better friends because nowadays there seems to be a shift with them lol

Norris fans and their victim mentality, your driver brought that hate on himself.

For me the thing about Gax is that the whole back and forth in the media thing is a game they play. They are serious but at the same time they are intentionally poking at each other because they think it's fun.

I don't think most drivers think a lot of stuff said in the media is that serious behind the scenes. Like clearly Max likes playing into it and he teases George and they are also being chummy and making jokes about their own disagreements so it doesn't feel like it's that serious to them.

I dislike Lando for other reasons so I was never going to enjoy him in any ship. But also the norstappen stuff is very forced, like they just don't have the same history and it's more just Lando being annoying about Max in the media and Max ignoring it, there isn't that good back and forth that you want in a good toxic yaoi ship. Like Max just kept saying they are friends, Lando said a bunch of stuff, and now they don't really interact, there just isn't as much there that's compelling.

The tl:dr is that Gax seems to have more fun poking at each other. Which in turn makes it more fun for shipping.

I guess it's just a personal thing. I am struggling to voice what I think without sounding parasocial but to me the things George said were at least as bad as what Lando has said and they were said with real purpose.

I know Max and George are on professional terms now but I think for me I just don't really see it as funny jokes. That's a personal thing, I just think the stuff about Max's team disliking him or Max being a bully or George saying that Massi would be in fear of his life if 21 were reversed are all playing into the incorrect characterisations of Max that Max haters love. I just can't like George after that. It felt like it was said for maximum impact.

I get the compelling argument though in terms of fiction. I've tried to write Lando/Max before but I could never really get into it whereas if people are looking for a toxic ship then Gax would be more interesting.

I suppose a huge thing for me is that I don't enjoy ships where I don't like one of the drivers (I know some people do). I think that is why the number of ships I like gets less and less 😂
