M!A: for the next day or so you'll be haunted by the ghost of a lost friend or family member.
Having been organizing files on her computer and getting together a small lesson plan for Cello to learn how to get accustomed to tech, Sombra was thankful for the quiet.Â
Today was one of the days where Piccolo and Cello were outside of the house on the lookout as he was teaching the small Namekian how to fly.Â
Brown eyes scanned the screen as she let her fingers do the work, moving and deleting files and-….
She froze, the chubby round face of a child visible through the screen. Brown eyes were framed by curly brown hair, his face smiling at her as she trembled.Â
A ear splitting shriek could be heard before she mashed the red button on her wristband.
“Sure thing Mi amor.”
Once the two had passed through, now by the old cave where Cello was born and Piccolo had stayed, Emilio turned to his sister.Â
“Hermana! I thought you said love was dumb!”
Sombra chuckled, thinking back to how she would often boast that love just wasn’t for her as a child.
“He changed my mind. Come on, let’s go.”
And with that they stepped through the teleporter.
"You need to rest." (Pico)
Sombra who was paler than ever, her eyes almost closed as she leaned on the dresser had been coughed up a storm. Her cheeks and nose were pinker than ever, her hair slicked down with sweat as she shook her head softly.Â
“No…I’m fine…Just need…an egg.”
“No...Egg...for healing...”
She began to stand up completely but the black spots in her vision and the room spinning prompted her to lay her upper body on the dresser again.
“Maybe...getting out of bed was...a bad idea.”

He was mediating, enjoying the peaceful silence that was so less common lately while his family worked on who knows what. As much as he enjoyed his new life, times like this were still precious as he couldn’t afford to slack off with his training. Maybe now more than ever.
He let out a deep breath before his eyes shot open. He was sensing a presence he knew as well as his own, one he only knew firsthand through Kami, and one he had never in his wildest dreams thought he would ever come across…
“So this is what you’ve decided to waste the life I gave you on, hmm?”
For a moment, it was easy to pretend this was all indeed just a dream. he’d fallen asleep and he’d wake up and turn around and there would be no one there…
Another deep breath and he slowly turned his head to see… something that shouldn’t be possible. Sitting beside him, in the same cross legged position, and yet still somehow looming over him with a dark gaze was the demon king himself.
And junior was speechless, utterly so.
The indistinct shouting only made Sombra break into a run the moment she was out of sight. Of course things would get more heated when she leaves...She could only hope that nothing serious goes down while she speaks to Dende. Actually....Â
I won’t be long. Going to prepare Dende. Stay strong for us.
Upon finding the newer god, Sombra frowned at the sight of him baking. Any other time....
“Dende listen, Piccolo’s father is back. Only for a day and he’s a ghost right now but he wants to see you....He’s....not the most agreeable person i’ve met.”

“Much bigger. Alright everyone ready?”
Stepping over to the dresser, Sombra pulled the teleporter she kept handy out. Setting it up was a pinch and soon enough the blue ring of light signaled that it was on.Â

My muse is sick, and won’t admit it. Send “You need to rest.” for their reaction.

Neither was Sombra but it took everything in her to not growl at the sight of the Daimao poking Piccolo....Only she can do that.Â
Sombra chewed on her lip before finally coming up with  something helpful.
“Excuse me for a moment.”
Now to hurry ahead of them and find Dende to at least warn him...

“Los dinosaurios son gigantes y verdes!”
Emilio looked pleased with his answer before his eyes grew wide. He was staring at Piccolo now.Â
“Hermana! You love a dinosaur!”
Sombra burst into laughter before shaking her head at his assumption. “He’s not a dinosaur. But you are right that they are pretty big but not always green. They can be pretty scary so stay close to us okay guys?”

She returned the look, hoping he’d see that she indeed felt bad for him. Keeping a hold on Cello, Sombra stood a foot too far away from Piccolo. She didn’t trust his father’s arm to not try and take Cello from her.Â
Let’s at least try to keep him occupied on other things...we don’t need him trying to focus on Cello.

“That would be the safest way down wouldn't it? Alright. Well i can take Emilio and you get Cello.”
Standing up from where they had been sitting, Sombra took hold of her younger brothers form.Â

I should be the one saying that. Not you.
Feeling Cello grip tighter, she gave his back a reassuring pat.Â
“You can try all you like but Cello is smarter than he looks. he knows whats best.”

Sombra simply rolled her eyes before pecking his cheek as thanks. Emilio was basically hopping up and down for joy at the idea of getting to see a dinosaur.Â
“Alright Emilio. I made a good friend named Geronimo and you’re going to see him.”
“Geronimo! Geronimo! Andale hermana!”
👋🏼(Sombra)
He yelped, yes actually yelped, and whipped around to look at her. Considering he was a bit gun shy from the earlier assault, have her join in seemed more like a deep betrayal than good fun…
The look she got from him was nearly heartbreaking…
“Listen before you came around, i never planned on getting into anything serious. I had…quite a few one night stands..Mostly women though. Usually they have the best butts….But it doesn’t matter any more you’re the only butt that i care about.”
He stared at her. Women? That explains her lack of concern over… anatomical things.
“Well… fine. Yours is the only one I care about as well.”
He stepped forward and put his hands over said area. Turning purple as he did so.
"Did you not know about that? You know... my preferences?"
Did it catch her off guard? Yes. Did she Welcome it? Hell yes.
"Good to know I'm the only one."

Well…that was certainly good news.
Content on keeping him happy. Yes but not at the price of handing her son over. She backed up once more, shooting him a look as she let Piccolo step between them.Â
Cello are you confident in your flying abilities yet?
Cello looked up at her.
/I’m not fast but I can stay up mostly./
Dammit...
/Alright...I wanted to know just in case he tries anything.../

Giving both boys a kiss on the head, Sombra laughed when Emilio stuck his tongue out at the affection.
“Pos que quieres hacer Emilio?”
The small boy seemed to focus before looking around the room.
“How about…I show you something really cool. Something you used to always talk about.”
“Dinosuarios!”
That’s right, they were long gone in the world he’d lived in.
“I believe Geronimo is still in the same general area. At least we know he’s friendly.”
Looking up to Piccolo, Sombra grinned with delight. Wait... "I thought you said you weren't going to babysit him for me?"
