It’s tough to be without your siblings, especially if you’re used to living with them, or having them nearby. I have an older sister and brother, and when I first left home, it was definitely a change to not have them around. But you get used to it, bit by bit. Not to mention… delivery! A nice added bonus when the sun is too bright and you don’t want to wander around town trying to find something to eat. Order in a pizza or Chinese or anything at all. It’s good to meet you, Emerson, I’m Gerard, welcome to town.
I’m living with my girlfriend now, so at least I’m not completely left to my own devices. But you’re right, it’s completely different than being near family. Sometimes, it just feels like I need to do things on my own and that’s not something I’m used to quite yet. Curse of being the baby in the family, I guess. I think delivery is going to be my best friend for a while, to be honest. Do you have any recommendations for places around town that you like?
