This is me when I read:

One of my regrets is I didn't put more female OCs in my epic HR fic

Writing about a male pro sports team in a gender segregated sport kind of cages me into writing about dudes unless I want to write about a trans woman but like that might be out of my scope and also pretty fucking depressing if I'm being real

This environment is toxic enough for cis dudes I don't want to put even a fictional trans woman through this torture😭

Anyway that is to say, I wanted to include Dylan's lesbian distant cousin bff who edited the video he submitted for the draft and low key loves hockey and the PWHL but like this girl has better things to do than fixate on her male friend's life lbr she is happy for him but like, I also imagine her living her life, which is a bit of a mess but at least *her* life

She is older than him by a 6 years and used to babysit younger Dylan. When her homophobic dad caught her with a girl, she told him she could not be a lesbian because Dylan was her boyfriend (she was 16 and Dylan was like 10😭) but her dad was such a sicko homophobe that he was like. . . Yeah I'd rather believe my 16 year old is genuinely dating a 10 year old boy

Anyway she resolved to leave his household asap for college, majored in journalism, and is now post bachelor's degree in the content mill considering going to grad school just to qualify for student loans because she is broke as fuck (many such cases) and too proud to accept Dylan's offer to make it rain now the he is a pro athlete super model dating a pop star mostly because she encouraged him to declare for the MLH draft 1.5 years ago

Her last situationship imploded because her not-gf got back together with her shit boyfriend 🤢🤢🤢 and her mom keeps telling her to go on ozempic and also asking her if maybe Dylan is girly enough for her (mom he is NOT)

sorry Sara Wen, just accept the fake job of being Dylan's life coach you deserve compensation for listening to his tedious whining about being in love with his straight best friend lile he could do one more commercial for underarmor and pay your rent for six months

I want you to understand this. I NEED you to understand this. My mother read me the hobbit as bedtime story, and I started pushing myself to read before pre-school so I could in fact read the hobbit for myself instead of having to wait for bedtime.

I didn't do so right away but jesus wept I PUSHED myself to learn to read SPECIFICALLY so I could read The Hobbit! It is, in fact, a children's story! And children only see page count as 'there is a lot of this fun story to read!'
