i just wanna gush over my favorite games w friendssss :'(

so i've still got an hour before my shift is over but i'm nearly out of work to do... i'm trying to think of something i can do on my phone that'll properly distract me. doing research or texting ppl is usually my best bet... but idk what to research and i don't know what to talk about with whoever i'd text... blaghh

this prob isn't possible but i wish i could start over one of my unfinished dai runs. specifically it was my "hot mage granny romances blackwall" run. i started it a few years ago and got like halfway thru the game but i never finished it.

i could always just jump into where i left off but i don't want to do that bc i already saw most of blackwall's romance scenes in it... years back. so like. i wish i could start fresh w that same inquisitor and just restart from the beginning of the game.

mass effect lets you do this easily cause you can just import a character you previously made and start a new file w them and you still have the same character design. i think w dai (or any dragon age game) i'd have to just... start completely over and recreate hot granny from scratch, which sucks.

cause i HIGHLY doubt i still have any save file that's from the beginning of the game i can just load. i usually just only keep one manual save and the 2 or 3 auto saves. duuude mass effect andromeda actually keeps like ALL your auto saves, so you can literally just reload a file that's from the very beginning of the game.

why you gotta make this so hard dragon age

there's that one scene in dai after here lies the abyss w varric and it plays hawke's theme song and it hit me like a truck w da2 feelings FUCKK i dont have time to replay da2 STOPPP

#that scene is so fucked up bc the game is like... assuming that you chose to let hawke die #like it's Meant to be a heartwrenching moment w varric mourning hawke #and him having to write letters to his remaining loved one(s??) that he's dead #but otherwise when he lives it's just like. a weird mood #cause varric is like 'yeah sucks the warden died. thank GOD hawke is okay tho. oh well time to write letters telling everyone theyre ok :)'#i neeeeever let hawke die in my playthroughs. that's illegal. my hawke needs to live happily ever after w fenris

i did a lot of productive things today actually. i made that phone call, got gas for my car, and attended two meetings at work.

as much as i'd Love to start writing rn i actually think it might not be possible bc even tho i'm motivated to write and know what i'm going to write, the actual writing process is like... currently impossible for me bc i'm not in a "make words sound good" mindset at the moment?

it's most definitely bc i haven't been reading much of anything lately. idk how to describe it, but yall understand how reading other ppl's writing helps with your own writing? gets the narrative juices in ur brain flowing n shit? yeah. my brain is dry rn. i need to get back into reading. 😞
