It was dark. The dhampir was desperate, hungry, and hoping not to get caught. Yet here, right in front of him, cornering him in this alley way, it was none other than that... Vellioth fellow. Shit. Vyper carefully turned around, mouth lathered in a poor soul's blood, clearly not expecting this. Ideally, he wasn't expecting anyone to interrupt his feeding at all. Especially not one of the few souls in this city who even knew him.

"...Can I help you?" He says bluntly. Straightforwardly. Oddly casual, given the circumstances.

He's not overly surprised by that answer, but gives him a pleased look regardless. A woman appears, certainly dressed to match the atmosphere and takes their order. Another glass of wine and a higher end ale for his 'guest'.

As she walks away, his gaze falls back on the other. He didn't quite seem out of place here. The Sharess attracted all kinds of folk, often types visiting the city for their own ends, which is usually the ideal prey for him... just in case.

"An interesting name. I don't have to worry about you biting, do I?" He can't help the little grin that crosses his face at the little joke, even if the other wouldn't grasp the irony behind it.

"Are you a local? Or just another passing through?" He rests his cheek against his palm, feigning interest in whatever the answer might be. It would determine just how careful he needed to be with this one.

As he said prior... Vyper can't complain about a free drink, and well, getting a step-above-cheap ale definitely was a treat. So he takes a decently sized swig, not really caring how the other might see it. They weren't exactly in the fanciest of locations, after all. Why would he even care? Then- that little joke. Nothing too serious, simply light hearted flirtatious fun, as this has all been, so far. But Vyper can't help but be caught off guard if for but a moment... Does he know? Not that Vyper would make a fool of himself in public like this, no. He likes to think he's smarter than that; and he's not about to stop entertaining himself over something that might not even be that serious. "I don't think we've quite reached that level, just yet... but if you're interested~" He says, inching closer to Vellioth, before breaking out in a cackle, making it all the harder to tell how much he really meant that. Better keep the man on his toes, after all.

"You could say I'm rather new to the city," Vyper responds to the far more genuine question, in between another swig. Drinking like that, he's either got a high tolerance, or frankly, just doesn't care. "...But far from just a tourist."
